3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but nothing new here, July 18, 2006
This review is from: Attera Totus Sanctus (Audio CD)
My problem with this cd is that Magus Caligula sounds like he is losing his voice. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a new singer on their next album. The music is still pretty good, if not rather stagnant, but then again this is Dark Funeral I'm talking about and by now you know if you like them or dislike them because they haven't done anything different since their inception in 1993. Get this cd if you are a fan, but if you're just getting into Dark Funeral, stick with some of the earlier stuff like their self titled debut, Secrets of the Black Arts (awesome cd), and Vobiscum...

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful music simply, June 24, 2007
This review is from: Attera Totus Sanctus (Audio CD)
One of my faves. Real musicians, brilliant production, insane drumming. What I love the most about this record are the hymn- and symphonylike melodies, they paint pictures of greatness and convinced anger, reminding me of Wagner. I'd love to hear those songs interpretated by a string quartet for instance. Hats off !

5.0 out of 5 stars One of their best, January 13, 2007
This review is from: Attera Totus Sanctus (Audio CD)
If you like Dark Funeral this album is in my opinion a notch above diablis interium. Its production is great and Caligula is just as evil as ever. Buy it now
