Mo Wax... show ya right., June 7, 2006

Preety much anything that has the Mo Wax logo on it is sure to be worth checking out. This is another example of that rule. Attica Blues is a blend of downtempo, hip-hop, acid jazz, funk... a grocery list of music generes. Many would file this album under trip-hop, but the mood of Attica Blues is much less darker than Tricky, Portishead or Massive Attack.
Like many of the Mo Wax releases, this was preety much import only and had beautiful packaging. And like other Mo Wax releases it wasn't easy to find, but worth the digging. If your able to find this gem, pick it up, but I'm not sure I'd pay $50 for the album.
