Author and six-sensory teacher Sonia Choquette has teamed up with singer/song writer Mark Stanton Welch for a 4-CD series intended to raise the vibration level of the listeners. Attunement to Higher Vibrational Living is not a lecture or workshop. Instead, these CD's are contain a series of guided visualizations accompanied by acoustic guitar, singing, and humming.

CD 1 - Entering the Fourth Dimension and Meeting Your Guides

With a run-time of 52:41, the first CD is intended to induce a trance-like state, take your to a higher vibration, and connect you to your Higher Self and spirit guides in the fourth dimension. Mark sings a lovely song, inviting listeners to "ask and receive" as they attempt to meet their spirit helpers. Sonia begins what sounds like a free-form guided meditation for following your spirit, dancing with angels and guides, visiting the inner Kingdom, receiving help from healer and joy guides (who greet you with somersaults and hula hoops), and merging with the ascended masters within a golden flame.

CD 2 - Working with Your Guides to Create a Vibrationally Empowered Life

With a run-time of 45:38, Sonia and Mark take you back to the fourth dimension with the intention of calling back your authentic self, freeing yourself from all past negative vibration, and energetically attracting exactly what you need in the moment. Mark sings "Heart please open wide, free the love I am inside...heart please open wide...I am...I am...", and Sonia invites the listener to surrender to the support of the Holy Mother, the Holy Father, the Holy Spirit, and Divine Essence. She then guides the listener to observe life as an incredible, complex drama and as she "opens the curtain", individuals are walked through their childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, present, and even into the future. Sonia encourages individuals to leave behind those things that no longer serve, reclaim the authentic self, and receive gifts from the future self for empowerment.

CD 3 - Living Your Perfect Divine Self

With a run-time of 28:30, this CD is intended to increase internal personal vibration to a higher Divine resonance, allowing the listener to receive more love, health, abundance, and support from the Universe. Sonia begins a dreamy guided meditation, sounding like she's high on Who Hash. "Dreaming...relaxing...resting...your body...your spirit...floating with your spirit..."

CD 4 - Healing Your Life through Forgiveness

With a run-time of 41:11, Sonia leads the listener on a journey of forgiveness and instructs them about the four levels of the heart chakra. This is the only CD that comes close to a lecture. Sonia invoked one of her spirit guides, Rose, for advice for the group. According to Sonia, Rose connects to the heart chakra. Mark plays guitar in the background, singing "I ain't gonna carry that load no more...I'm gonna let go...take that pain, lay it down, down, down..." Sonia explains that you tell how balanced your heart chakra is by how much energy you have, and goes on to delineate the four positions of the heart chakra:

1. Only gives, doesn't have an opening to receive
2. Happy to take, but when it comes to giving back, it's blocked
3. Neither gives nor receives-blocked off for fear of being wounded or influenced
4. Open heart - a place where an individual gives and receives with equal comfort

Sonia offers some interesting observations in the fourth CD, including the idea that givers are control-freaks deep down-using giving as a way to avoid their own vulnerability. Another interesting observation is that positions 1-3 are postures of the mind and ego, which in turn control the heart.

According to Sonia an open heart is:

"...a sensibility and consciousness that must be cultivated. An open heart is a metaphor for one who has good taste. In other words, an educated and sophisticated awareness of beauty. The next step in our evolution as six-sensories is to cultivate our good taste-our discernment of all things beautiful."

I'm a big fan of Sonia's book Trust Your Vibes, and recommend it quite often to my clients and friends. Although I'm familiar with several of her books and her intuitive decks, I've not heard her live. Thus, this was my first experience hearing her voice. As a result, I don't have anything to compare Attunement to Higher Vibrational Living to in terms of lectures or workshops.

From my experience, I found this CD series to be unstructured. The free-form feel of the "guided" (and I use that term loosely) meditations-as well as the dreamy vocalizations and odd verbal inflections sometimes uttered-had me feeling like I just entered a reading of Beat poetry. I expected snapping fingers any moment, or perhaps the passing of a bong. In fact, my husband entered the room when I had CD 3 playing and he told me later that he almost busted out laughing. (He's not a "typical" guy, mind you. He's very intuitive, receptive, and gentle.)

At times, Mark's singing is a bit too loud and intrusive and the "guided" meditations go on far too long. Not only that, the imagery lacked detail, hindering pathworking or clear visualizations. Yes, things need to be left to the imagination, especially how spirit helpers look and what they say. But there was a lot of ad-libbed, meandering talk about "fire", "flame", and "spirit" more than anything. As one who happens to be quite "fiery", I didn't find the visualizations especially helpful. What may have worked is having a different "feel" for each CD, with one focusing on the Earth element/grounding, another focusing on the Water element and receptive feminine energy, and so on.

With all the "fire" talk, there was a very masculine feel to Attunement to Higher Vibrational Living. I suppose this would be quite helpful for folks heavy on Yin energy as well as those who need empowerment or struggle with self-pity, victimhood, low self-esteem, and lack of courage. It is because I can see how these CD's could help some that I'm giving it 3 stars.

I am a big fan of Sonias but I honestly could not take that singing, it was too often and too much and too loud. I could not stay relaxed as when I got relaxed he started singing. In my head I was actually begging him to stop singing so obviously I could not relax and focus on the intent of the DVD. I have given it to other friends to try and they could not stand it either because of the singing. I always enjoy her work but this is not what I hoped for, I knew there would be some singing I just did not think it would be so annoying...

The first couple of times I listened to these, I didn't know what I was supposed to experience or "get" out of them. I never meditated or visualized much besides doing artistic things (or getting to the top when rock climbing).

I listened to one CD, then after a week or two passed, listened to another. Sometimes months would go by without listening at all, but for some strange reason I kept coming back. It wasn't easy. There were times that were so difficult, tears would be soaking my face. I think those were the moments I started to "get" it, and not much longer I was buzzing off the walls. I felt lighter and happier, starting to move through my days with ease.

All said and done, I have found this CD set to be the most insightful and expansive tool for continuously increasing my vibration. It has made me truly understand that like anything in life, it all depends on how open and willing I am to let my guard down and allow myself to experience (myself).

I've recently started exploring meditation as a way to calm my mind and relax after a stress filled day. Since I'm a novice at this I find that soothing music and guided meditation works best at this stage of my learning and daily practice. I'm not at all familiar with Sonia Choquette or Mark Stanton Welch, however the title "Attunement to Higher Vibrational Living" caught my attention as I also enjoy listening to Kelly Howell's Brain Sync series. Well, I popped in the first CD and Mark starts singing and I'm thinking, "Okay, this must be the into to the CD." Wrong! This guy sings and sings and sings! Not at ALL what I was expecting. His singing was sooooo distracting I couldn't relax enough to get into the instructional portion led by Sonia. Even the 'style' of music wasn't for me......All I could think of was the sixties love child era and waiting for him to break out into a rendition of Kumba-ya. Not criticizing Mark's voice...it was very nice..just couldn't take it through the ENTIRE CD...and the next...and so on.

I have to agree with some of the other reviewers---I could NOT take the singing!! When I put on the first CD, I was so excited because of what I'd read on the back of the jewel case. Then this folksy guitar starts playing, and I'm thinking okay, just the intro to the CD...until Mark Stanton Welch starts singing this sappy tune with equally sappy lyrics: "Ask and I shall receeeeeeeeive...calling my guide [breath] come...forth Teacher...willingly go with- [breath] -in I listen...Universe...help...me...fill my [breath]...dream."

Maybe it's just because I'm a musician myself, but this style of singing really drives me nuts. I could *not* focus on the meditation because every time I'd start to relax, he'd start singing again, and the phrasing was all wrong. (Sorry, Mark!) He just kept sounding like he was running out of breath, since he kept taking breaths at all the wrong places. It chopped up the lyrics (sappy as they were) and made the folksy Kumbayah-campfire tune even worse.

Very disappointing, as I had such high hopes for this CD set. But I have to agree with the other reviewers: the music sounded like we were sitting around on floor pillows with people taking drags from a hookah and swaying in preparation for a love fest. Or, like a Taize service I once attended...and never will again.

For those used to BrainSync and the like, this is the far opposite end of the meditative universe, in my opinion. I haven't gotten through even *one* of these meditations--and I'm thinking of putting my copy on eBay or Amazon Marketplace.

If you like acoustic guitar with campfire-folk type music sung almost continually throughout your meditations, this is the set for you. If not, run away...run far, far away, and don't look back.

Amazing!!!! Has changed my life! It is as if Sonia and Mark are right there in the room with you, guiding you and supporting you as they take you on a fantastical journey to meet your higher self.

From the professional reviews and descriptions of these CDs, it is not made clear that all four CDs in this set are designed to take you into a guided relaxation/trance state. The aim is to achieve their objectives through a trance state. If you are looking for teaching CDs, you need to look elsewhere. If you are looking for something to guide you through their topics using trance or deep relaxation, these may be very good.

I FOUND THESE CDS SO RELAXING TO LISTEN TO WHEN I WAS REALLY WORN OUT AND STRESSED OUT AT THE END OF THE DAY. THE MUSIC IS BEAUTIFUL AND LIFTS YOU TO HIGHER REALMS, AND SONIA'S VOICE IS SO SOOTHING AND CALMING. I WOULD PUT THESE CDS UNDER THE CATEGORY OF 'MUSIC-MEDITATION', AS THE MUSIC CONTINUES THROUGHOUT. HOWEVER, I DID NOT FIND THIS DISTRACTING BUT RATHER LED ME INTO A DEEPER STATE OF RELAXATION;ALSO THE ACTUAL MUSIC HAS A VIBRATION WHICH LIFTS YOU RIGHT UP TO THE HEAVENS.
THESE CDS ARE MAGICAL!

Sonia does it again... This channeled material is awesome and totally worth listening too. You can't beat the price. If you have not attended one of Sonia's workshops this is the next thing...

To anyone who wants to keep their vibrational level high on a day-to-day basis, I highly recommend you buy and listen to these CDs! The combination of Sonia's teachings and Mark Welch's music will help you mantain your 6th sensory vibs and keep you dancing to the edges.
