What is deceptive is how small and compact the light is. When we installed in daytime, it was incredibly bright. At night awesome peircing bright vivid color. Nothing like it on our overcrowded Lake Norman, NC.

Compact size, but super bright LEDs. The telltale on the top is a cool feature. Fits perfectly, wire leads were adequately long, comes with neoprene mounting pad.

This throws out an amazing amount of light (see [...]).
It claims it uses 150mA at 12 volts, but using a bench power supply I measured it at slightly less than 200mA at 12 volts. The nice thing it goes down to at least 5v (drawing 60mA), and possibly lower, while still being relatively bright, so you can easily power it using NiMH or lithium batteries. The only thing I don't like about it is the chrome, but I guess they wanted to make it look old-fashioned.
