What is deceptive is how small and compact the light is. When we installed in daytime, it was incredibly bright. At night awesome peircing bright vivid color. Nothing like it on our overcrowded Lake Norman, NC.

Compact size, but super bright LEDs. The telltale on the top is a cool feature. Fits perfectly, wire leads were adequately long, comes with neoprene mounting pad.

This throws out an amazing amount of light (see [...]).

It claims it uses 150mA at 12 volts, but using a bench power supply I measured it at slightly less than 200mA at 12 volts.

The nice thing it goes down to at least 5v (drawing 60mA), and possibly lower, while still being relatively bright, so you can easily power it using NiMH or lithium batteries.

The only thing I don't like about it is the chrome, but I guess they wanted to make it look old-fashioned.

I wanted a bow light that was compact, bright, and easy to install. This light fills the bill. When combined with the Attwood 2 mile led all-round light you can be the best lit boat on the lake!

Went right over the top of our 2001 Malibu Response LX light that we've had troubles with for years. This thing is great! and it's sooooo easy to see when it is actually on...very nice!!! :-)

I find most of the navigation lights to be unclear as to the type of power source. I can find no other way to register my puzzlement. I do not have a 12 volt system. It is strickly a pull start outboard, and need to be sure a light has self-contained power. Please include power source needed in description or specs. I assume this item is great, if it fits yours needs. I can't tell if it would fit mine.

super bright, light weight. I used 3m5200 and just adhesed mine in place, using tape for a few days until the glue cured. awesome light

This bow light is a replacement from a wally world cheapo. This LED bow nav light uses less power than convetional bow lights, I found out you have to have the wires (+) (-) correct in order to operate. The lights are really bright and so far this unit has survived 5 hardcore salt water night fishing trips and works like a champ. 2 thumbs up and 5 stars from me. Thanks for making a product that lasts more than 2 trips...

good product. small size powerful light output. Replaced a bow light on a 28ft cruiser, very satified with the results. Low use of power. Have been replacing all lights with LED lights.

The first of these I received had a defective port side. Each side has individual LEDs, so if one side goes out the other remains lit. Unfortunately, I did not test this before installation, so I wasted considerable time installing and then uninstalling. Amazon sent me a new one, which I tested first. The LEDs are well sealed, the pigtails are long enough for my job, and the light is bright with true color. The little tell-tale nubs on the top of the case are a nice thought, but this light is bright enough that you really don't need them.
