5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent reference, May 26, 2000
This review is from: Dr. Attwood's Low-Fat Prescription Diet for Kids (Paperback)
Dr. Attwood gives compelling reasons for eliminating high-fat foods from your child's diet. He explains why it is important to make your child's diet as low-fat as possible, that it isn't healthy or acceptable for chidren to eat whatever they want. He covers many myths (such as "Controlling Obesity Can Wait" and "Milk Is Needed For Calcium and Protein") and explains how medical professionals have interpreted scientific studies wrong, have been making diet recommendations based on faulty conclusions. There is a step-by-step plan for changing the family's diet and tips and recipes. I found it a very good book, and for vegetarian parents it is a must-have.
