About the Author

Mischa Damjan is the pen name of the late Dimitrije Sidjanski, the cofounder, along with his wife, Brigitte, of North-South Books. He wrote many books for children, including The Little Seahorse and the Christmas Pearl and The Clown Said No.

Jozef Wilkon was born in Poland. His books for North-South include Flowers for the Snowman, written by Gerda Marie Scheidl.

This book is very moving and highly recommended. I really enjoyed the story of a boy who can't get over the loss of his dog and wants revenge. He finds revenge isn't the best way to deal with loss and discovers more interesting things about life.
