I purchased this product to use primarily at home and when traveling. Even when staying at 5 star hotels there always seems to be one mosiquito in the room. This net works great, but the only drawback is that it acts as an insulator. You might have to sleep with the AC on if you are in a hot humid climate. I have never been bitten when using the net tent;)

Wouldn't recommend this. It's a huge hassle to put up and take down every day. The pop-up mosquito nets are much easier and work better. There's no bottom to it either which I didn't know when I bought so it really doesn't keep bugs off you. To top it off, it's too short to cover my legs if I want to stretch out.

We bought four of these before our trip to Central America. They work great and have plenty of space under the netting. They're easy to set up, compact and very light weight. The reason we chose them is that you don't have to rely on finding a place to tie a cord (i.e. it's self supporting).

In my quest to avoid mosquitoes, I bought a sleep screen. It seemed to be a good solution in the store, but in the field, it wasn't so great. It kept the bugs off me, but it really isn't well proportioned - it's hard to get into the thing, and the tie downs aren't well thought out.

Light-weight, packs small, easy even for a child to assemble. We bought two for a trip to Ecuador and then my younger kid used one at sleep-away camp a year later. Perfect for packing light and small.

I camp in New England near the ocean where mosquitoes are a particular problem during the summer. I had a bivy shelter to put my sleeping bag in but the bivy was hot and too restrictive for summer camping. Two camping friends had the Atwater Carey sleep screens and swore by them so last year I bought one and agree that it is ideal for summer camping. I never had a mosquito problem even when they were thick all around the net all night. Even tossing and turning in the night didn't disturb the integrity of the system. A fellow camper had a jungle hammock with a mosquito fly accessory and he had less success keeping mosquitoes off that those with the Atwater Carey system.
