Safe Night's Sleep,

I purchased this product to use primarily at home and when traveling. Even when staying at 5 star hotels there always seems to be one mosiquito in the room. This net works great, but the only drawback is that it acts as an insulator. You might have to sleep with the AC on if you are in a hot humid climate. I have never been bitten when using the net tent;)

Wouldn't recommend this. It's a huge hassle to put up and take down every day. The pop-up mosquito nets are much easier and work better. There's no bottom to it either which I didn't know when I bought so it really doesn't keep bugs off you. To top it off, it's too short to cover my legs if I want to stretch out.

We bought four of these before our trip to Central America. They work great and have plenty of space under the netting. They're easy to set up, compact and very light weight. The reason we chose them is that you don't have to rely on finding a place to tie a cord (i.e. it's self supporting).

My 11 year old son went on a white water rafting trip with this and was able to set it up and tear it down by himself. He didn't come home with any mosquito bites (he did use repellent, but that only lasts 6 hours) and several of his friends who had no mosquito tents had dozens of bites. The unit is very portable and fairly easy to put together and use. I recommend this to anyone who wants to sleep out under the stars but not be bitten up by bugs as a result.

Works, but not great,

In my quest to avoid mosquitoes, I bought a sleep screen. It seemed to be a good solution in the store, but in the field, it wasn't so great. It kept the bugs off me, but it really isn't well proportioned - it's hard to get into the thing, and the tie downs aren't well thought out.

I used the mosquito net while in Nigeria a week ago. Initially, it was a little more challenging than I would have like to set up but once I did it once or twice, it became so much easier. I liked how portable it was and the fact that it covered only your face and arms. My legs and torso were covered with a sheet.Well worth the price. |
