3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting, Worthy, Off the Beaten Track, December 12, 2011
This review is from: Au Jus (Audio CD)
I believe that I bought this shortly after seeing Pitchblende in a small club in Louiseville. I enjoyed the performance immensely and think that the CD represents that performance well.
I can't get very technical about the music, but at the time I was listening to a lot of math rock and this album fit comfortably into that aesthetic tendency.

5.0 out of 5 stars For the curious.., March 27, 2011
This review is from: Au Jus (Audio CD)
I just happened to buy this album at a thrift store not knowing what to expect. The best way to describe it is post hardcore/grunge. The have a great dynamic. With an awkward sound that somehow manages to make perfect sense, it makes me think of a style leaning towards At the Drive-In. I think with the right production this album could have instantly been an underground classic. Which, I think it still is, many just haven't realized it.
