I purchased this product a month or so ago and the formula has changed. It is no longer the great Blue Chamomile I loved but rather a brown, running, smelly formula. I sent them an email and they kindly sent me a new bottle but it was the same new formula and like the other reviewer says, it no longer lathers like it once did and smells funny. I even sent the customer service person (Rachel) a photo of a sample of two old versions I had versus the new one I bought and they sent me but never heard back. Buyer beware!

I just got done recommending and sending the link for this to someone and I felt compelled to write a review.

Finding a natural shampoo that is true blue non toxic and works great is not easy. I have tried so many
only to find my hair felt weighed down, dirty or the company claimed to be natural only to find the ingredients were toxic.

I use the EWG environmental working groups website called skin deep. They have over 60,000 beauty products
on a ratings system from 1-10 according to how toxic they are. The system eye opening.

With this shampoo I need no conditioner and my hair feels so clean, hydrated and healthy. Many truly healthy shampoos do not give a lather but this one gives a lather its not as much as chemical based brands but enough so you feel its working. I use (Trader Joe's Tea Tree tingle 16 oz $4) every 4-5 washes as a clarifying shampoo.
When using any high quality natural shampoo it does not strip you're hair so using a clarifying shampoo is necessary so you're hair is not weighed down. If you do not have a Trader Joe's or natural option for a clarifying shampoo you can rinse you're hair with Apple cider Vinegar then use the Aubrey shampoo after.
Apple cider vinegar is so good for healthy hair and also you're scalp.

I wash my hair 2-3 times a week have medium length hair that is normal to oily and one 16oz bottle lasts me two months. considering I need no conditioner it is affordable. If you shop around you should be able to get it for $11-$12 a 16oz bottle.

This is a wonderful product for any hair type. I have used organic herbal shampoo for 30 years and this is the best I have found. There are 3 ingredients in it that will help prevent flaking scalp. I never have to use a dandruff treatment.

I tried the Blue Chamomile shampoo and conditioner hoping to find something that wouldn't make my scalp itch. I have super sensitive skin and suffer from perioral and contact dermatitis. This shampoo was the best thing ever, UNTIL they changed the formula. My new bottle came direct from AO and I also ordered a GBP and Calaguala Fern shampoo. They are all very watery and my beautiful creamy blue shampoo is brown, runny, and smells weird. My head is itching like crazy too! I'm so sad that a great product has been ruined by the new uppers at AO. Don't waste your money, this is no longer the Aubrey we knew and loved. :(

UPDATE:8/2/14 I emailed AO regarding the new formula and they called me! I spoke with Connie, she was super helpful. She explained that as they get input on the new formulas there will probably be some tweaking. She sent me some samples based on what I told her I needed and offered to exchange the old package bottle I ordered as it had the new formula in it. I've concluded that the additional surfactants are what is bothering my scalp. I have tried the Biotin (yucky coating on my hair), Swimmer's (like) and the Green Tea, which is my fave at the moment. It's for oily hair but I think because of this it doesn't leave anything on your hair. I have normal hair with blonde highlights. If you used the Blue Chamomile the Green Tea is worth a try. It smells nice too! The new formulas are a little watery, but it hasn't been an issue, I usually wash twice and my hair feels very clean. I also use the Island Naturals conditioner, which is for dry hair. The natural fragrance doesn't irritate my scalp either.I ordered some of the 2oz sizes once I found something I liked, to make sure it worked long term before I bought a large bottle. I am very happy that AO took the time to call me, it shows they DO care about their customers!

I first received this shampoo as part of a gift. With all the chemicals we are exposing ourselves and the environment to, it was nice to find a shampoo that leaves everyone healthier. It has a great smell and leaves my hair shiny and clean. It does suds up but not as fluffy as other shampoos and some people may expect lots of suds. Since my only concern is clean hair without chemicals it didn't bother me. I highly recommend this product and feel safe using it on my family.

I bought this shampoo because the sulfate-free shampoo that I was using made my hair feel brittle. This is the first oil-soap based shampoo I've used. I like how this shampoo has protein in it and doesn't dry out my hair (like the other sulfate-free shampoo I was using). I just learned about protective washing and I tried it with this shampoo; the results were wonderful. I recommend following with a deep conditioner because any protein enriched hair product will make hair strands feel stiffer. I've only used this shampoo for a little over a month now and I'm still adjusting to the texture/feel of the oil-based soap on my hair while shampooing. So, I gave it four stars instead of five. But, I have suggested this product to friends and family members and definitely plan to buy more when I run out of it.
