2 of the 4 speakers on our boat broke. We order 2 (at about $23/each) planning to only replace the broken ones. We really wanted a matched set, but couldn't justify paying close to $100 for 4 when we really only needed 2. We were pleasantly surprised when each order was actually a pair of speakers. For under $50 we now have 4 matching speakers that look and sound great.

Absolutely no complaints.

Had two of these in my old boat. I bought four for my new boat.
Listen, they aren't the best sounding speakers but they are loud. If you are looking for quality "sound", don't buy these. If you are looking for loud, durable and cheap, this is your speaker!
Be sure to check your existing hole size...these were a little larger than my old ones and I had to re-cut the openings in the boat.

I actually bought these a few months ago. Finally, I got my boat running so I could actually test them on the water. The sound is perfect! Before buying these speakers, I looked on Amazon for a lot of products. I considered Boses, Infinitys, and JBLS. Everyone knows that all of those brands are good. I was kind of nervous about buying the cheaper speakers because I still wanted good sound on the water. I read a review on these where the author said "don't think you need to spend a lot on speakers because you don't". I bought these speakers based on that review. They are loud and sound really good. Save your money and buy these speakers. You will not be let down. They really are perfect for the lake. I bought 4 of these and installed them myself in my 84 Larson. I could hear the sound well even at full throttle on a 188 HP Mercruiser. They are running from a Sony CDXM30 which was also bought from Amazon. Great speakers, Great price. Do yourself a favor and purchase these. You will be happy. Boss is a great brand.

Great sounding speakers, they look good too and they were delivered nice and fast.

I really am happy - to the point where I purchased some more for inside the boat :)

The only thing I would like to point out is that after having them fitted in my cockpit for a while I noticed that the screws had started to rust - slightly disappointed that they werent stainless considering the main use of these as marine speakers.

Still, a quick trip to the hardware store and less than 2 dollars later I had 8 stainless steel screws

So, buy them for sure but change the screws out with stainless :)

(For people that have noticed I've reviewed both sets I bought exactly the same - inside the boat I never changed the screws but I thought it was good to let people know on either size of these speakers that the screws could do with replacing if exposed to the elements)

I you just like loud music,these are the speakers for you. If you like quality sound, spend more and get some CEA-compliant brand speakers.

I am not a big sound guy as I listen to alot of a.m. talk radio in the car - I do however like to crank the tunes while on the boat. Factory speakers were junk and sound bad so I decided to pickup some new ones. Since I am cheap I look first at price and go from there - these stuck out so ordered them. Was prepared to also install amp if needed but these puppies did the trick. No captain, crew and passengers all enjoy some good tunes really clearly without distortion while having good time on the lake. Would certaininly recommend this speakers.

I installed these in my 16 foot fishing boat along with a Sony radio so I wouldn't have to remember to bring the tunes every time I went fishing. They are Excellent! High quality sound, made of very durable plastic, and easy installation.

Don't waste your time and money on this model and brand. After going through a careful and time consuming install, even taking in consideration the acoustical limitations of the space, on a scale of 1-10, I would give them a solid 4. If you are about sound quality, look elsewhere ...

bought these speakers last year, and wanted to share that they are still working great, highly reccomend these and they are worth more than is offered

Found them to be as advertised and as indicated in the photo. Quality of sound is good throughout the audible range.
