2 of the 4 speakers on our boat broke. We order 2 (at about $23/each) planning to only replace the broken ones. We really wanted a matched set, but couldn't justify paying close to $100 for 4 when we really only needed 2. We were pleasantly surprised when each order was actually a pair of speakers. For under $50 we now have 4 matching speakers that look and sound great.

Absolutely no complaints.

Had two of these in my old boat. I bought four for my new boat.
Listen, they aren't the best sounding speakers but they are loud. If you are looking for quality "sound", don't buy these. If you are looking for loud, durable and cheap, this is your speaker!
Be sure to check your existing hole size...these were a little larger than my old ones and I had to re-cut the openings in the boat.

I actually bought these a few months ago. Finally, I got my boat running so I could actually test them on the water. The sound is perfect! Before buying these speakers, I looked on Amazon for a lot of products. I considered Boses, Infinitys, and JBLS. Everyone knows that all of those brands are good. I was kind of nervous about buying the cheaper speakers because I still wanted good sound on the water. I read a review on these where the author said "don't think you need to spend a lot on speakers because you don't". I bought these speakers based on that review. They are loud and sound really good. Save your money and buy these speakers. You will not be let down. They really are perfect for the lake. I bought 4 of these and installed them myself in my 84 Larson. I could hear the sound well even at full throttle on a 188 HP Mercruiser. They are running from a Sony CDXM30 which was also bought from Amazon. Great speakers, Great price. Do yourself a favor and purchase these. You will be happy. Boss is a great brand.

bought these speakers last year, and wanted to share that they are still working great, highly reccomend these and they are worth more than is offered

Great sounding speakers, they look good too and they were delivered nice and fast.

I really am happy - to the point where I purchased some more for inside the boat :)

The only thing I would like to point out is that after having them fitted in my cockpit for a while I noticed that the screws had started to rust - slightly disappointed that they werent stainless considering the main use of these as marine speakers.

Still, a quick trip to the hardware store and less than 2 dollars later I had 8 stainless steel screws

So, buy them for sure but change the screws out with stainless :)

(For people that have noticed I've reviewed both sets I bought exactly the same - inside the boat I never changed the screws but I thought it was good to let people know on either size of these speakers that the screws could do with replacing if exposed to the elements)

Found them to be as advertised and as indicated in the photo. Quality of sound is good throughout the audible range.

I bought these because I didnt want to spend a whole lot on boat speakers. I was impressed with the quality of sound and the weight of these speakers.

This is a really good speaker for the price. Better speaker than my JBL that came with the boat. Bass is very good. Only drawback is the name printed on the speaker is cheap looking but not a problem if it is obscure from view.

I purchased these speakers and a BOSS deck for a 24' pontoon and cannot be more pleased with the performance. They are very loud speakers and sound awesome on the open water! The size I purchased was larger than the previous speakers and I just used a rotozip to cut out a larger hole and folded in the vinyl before installing the speakers and they look much better and sound a 100 times better than the old speakers. Do not fear the price tag on these speakers, they will produce the volume and quality you are hoping for in a budget speaker.

I you just like loud music,these are the speakers for you. If you like quality sound, spend more and get some CEA-compliant brand speakers.
