5.0 out of 5 stars I love these speakers.
This was a gift for Christmas and I absolutely love it. The sound is spectacular and it is nice to have something that I can carry with me so many places. I have a friend with a Bose speaker setup for her iPod and the sounds is good but it's big and not portable. The sound on my jlab speakers is just as good and I can carry them around the house and take it with me when...

1.0 out of 5 stars SPEAKERS ARE NOT WORTH IT
These speakers are barely audible. So not worth the money. They sound like you're listening to a speaker out of a soda can. I would never but them again.

I have a friend with a Bose speaker setup for her iPod and the sounds is good but it's big and not portable. The sound on my jlab speakers is just as good and I can carry them around the house and take it with me when I travel. It's great that the iPod slides right in the back so I don't have to worry about cords or connections like with some other systems. I couldn't be more pleased and have showed and recommended it to several people.

5.0 out of 5 stars Big sound, little device, December 20, 2006

I recently received an ipod nano as a gift, and so my first accessory purchase is the "MiniBlaster". I recevied mine on a rush delivery, and plugged in my ipod, and away we go.

The sound is crispy and clean, surprisingly loud for such a small device (it is literally an old school ghetto blaster that fits in the palm of your hand).

Kudos to JLab on a quality product. I like to listen to music and now I can share it with friends everywhere I go.

A bonus gift that comes with the Mini Blaster is the silicone protective case, which is also nice.

Thanks!

I bought the miniblaster portable speaker in December 2006. I was amazed at the quality of the sound for such tiny speakers. Now, almost one year later, the speakers are still going strong. If you are looking for good quality pocket size speakers, these are a good choice.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Company, June 11, 2007
This review is from: JLab Audio Miniblaster Portable Speaker for iPod nano 1G (White) (Electronics)
My 11 year old daughter saved her $$ and did some on line research and ended up buying these. She loved them for the size which allowed her to take them into bed, on the bus etc. The audio in my opinion was "OK", but she was very happy.

We had bought them along with their noise reducing ear buds which I use while traveling in planes. I can wear them x- country very comfortably

Unfortunately we had technical problems and contacted JBL. I happened to email them on a Sunday afternoon and in about 15 minutes a real person (Josh) responded. A real person.... on a Sunday!!

He resolved the issue- which ultimately required a warranty replacement.

I cannot say enough good things about this company and Josh. I woudl buy their products again without hesitation

4.0 out of 5 stars Amazing small I-Pod speakers!, January 18, 2007

I received an I-Pod for a gift but am not always comfortble with speakers in my ears. i searched a number of web sites for small and affordable speakers and found these. I was influenced by the good reviews and can only add my own endorsement. The MiniBlaster is just that. Great sound, portablility and for me, great for travel. Since I go to Europe at least once a year I love the fact that I can use batteries and not worry about power conversion. I would highly recommend these speakers. A lot of "bang for the buck".

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for the price, October 22, 2010

For the price, hard to beat. Obviously, the sound quality is not going to be top notch, but perfectly acceptable for such small, lightweight, and portable speakers. Like other reviewers, I find the plastic sleeve you're supposed to seat the Nano in difficult to use. Hard to get the Nano in and out. One thing no one mentioned, is that JLab provides an extra connector cord that allows you to run the Nano on an "Aux In" input on the side of the speakers so you don't have to actually squeeze the Nano into the official holder to use it. When I'm working at my desk, I simply do this, which allows quick Nano disconnect from the speakers.

1.0 out of 5 stars wow! This Thing Stinks!, April 29, 2010
This review is from: JLab Audio Miniblaster Portable Speaker for iPod nano 1G (White) (Electronics)
yeah, there I said it! it stinks! it says "rich sound", which means if you hold it 1" from your FACE it's rich, otherwise it sounds like two dinky speakers making some arbitrary noise. the only thing good about this thing is that you can plug it into anything with a headphone jack, butcha gotta have power or batteries. if they'd only come out with a little hat for these that'll hold it right in front of your face maybe I wouldn't sent mine back.

1.0 out of 5 stars What a disappointment., May 25, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: JLab Audio Miniblaster Portable Speaker for iPod nano 1G (White) (Electronics)
On my first foray into looking for the perfect mini speaker for my Ipod, I bought the Aiptek Mist for Nano (not realizing it only works with Gen 2 Nano)---boy, was it a cute little thing. Disappointed they don't make that product for Gen 1 Nanos, I searched Amazon for the perfect replacement mini speaker that would work with my Nano Gen 1. The JLab Miniblaster had 4 stars. Folks, speak up, because I cannot be the only one who was shocked by the low quality of this product!!

*When I first plugged it in, you couldn't hear anything because of interference from my TV remote!

*When I finally heard sound it was fuzzy at best and never got much better

*The volume level is only a smidgen better than what I can hear through my earbuds when they are out of my ears!

I read and re-read the direction and am convinced I did everything properly. I even tried it with battery power only, in the house, out of the house. No luck. This is a lousy product and I am giving it one star. This is being shipped back today.

4.0 out of 5 stars Neat little speaker!, January 18, 2007
This review is from: JLab Audio Miniblaster Portable Speaker for iPod nano 1G (White) (Electronics)
The sound isn't the best, but what great sound for such a little speaker! This thing fits right in the pocket, is great on my desk and just about anywhere. I have 2 friends that looked it over when I got it and they bought it right away. It is a great IPOD accessory, even if it is a little on the expensive side.
