Just to clarify, you get TWO SPEAKERS with this and any other Boss speaker item on the site (besides subs). I don't know what the other reviewer was thinking. He said they sound alright and "you get what you pay for" but he gave them 1 star? And he complained that he got two instead of one? Anyway...

These speakers sound great. I hooked them up directly to my head (a Sony aftermarket radio) and for a first timer I installed them myself in my little Honda hatchback in a couple of hours with a dremel (the first one took an hour an a half, after that I knew what I was doing so it was a breeze). They look really nice and can handle highs and mids real well, the bass gets a little iffy on higher volumes but hey, that's what subs are for. Less than ten bucks per speaker. You can't complain. I'm definitely sticking with Boss when I buy my amp and sub.

PS: If your car has a red theme going on, these look really nice.

I bought these for replacement speakers in my grand cherokee and they kick ass! I have a 400 watt amp powering them and they can handle that with no problem great qulity sound for your money.Bought 1 pair and as soon as i hooked them up i bought the second.

The speakers work and don't sound completely rubbish. Build quality is just ok, for the $17 I paid it's hard to complain. Like I said they work. Do I believe their 300 watt rating? Not for one minute. Double the money spent and you can find much better speakers out there.

These speakers aren't going to blow you away, but they look good, sound decent and seem to be a fairly good value.

The GOOD: These speakers have a very nice high and mid response. They sound absolutely beautiful (or as beautiful as one gets for $20 speakers). I am personally a fan of the red speaker cone and silver mid and tweeter. It has decent volume, but definitely doesn't blow the door apart.

The BAD: I bought these speakers expecting thump, but all I got was tweet. The obvious problem: their lowest frequency response is 100 Hz! For a good bass response, definitely buy something 70 Hz or lower. The lesson to be learned: always read the specs (and if you don't understand them, ask someone) and ALWAYS read the reviews.

The UGLY: Aside from the normal struggle of taking the door apart and getting the old speaker out, this speaker not only won't fit in my '00 Accord's factory plastic brackets, none of the holes lined up with the four holes in the door! I had to drill my own holes. If you end up doing this, be sure to buy some type of foam insulation tape to put around the rim of the speaker to it doesn't rattle. It wasn't an unsolvable problem, just annoying.

Summary: Good speakers, but if you like more bass coming out of your door speakers than the factory speakers, don't buy.

I got these for my two front doors and since I installed them I have a surround sound effect. They produce alot of bass for small speakers, though that's not the reason I bought them. I wanted them more for mids and they do a fine job with that too.

These speakers will do, provided auto occupants are hard of hearing. The performance is far less than stellar. Had to turn down bass level to avoid most unpleasant rattling from the speakers, not the enclosure.

I installed these in the front door of my 1994 Ext. Cab Ranger. i bought a new kenwood head unitKenwood Excelon KDC-X494 In-Dash CD/MP3/WMA/iPod Receiver with USB/Aux Input with this but it got here first so i went ahead and installed it. The mounting holes made it easy to install into a 5 x 7 openong. yes i had to drill a few holes in the door but no big deal. With my factory head unit the clarity of these were not quite what i was expecting. When I installed the new head unit and adjusted the center frequencys the clarity and sound quality improved greatly. They sounded much better than the old factory 5 x 7 speakers and had much better bass. Although the bass is not increadably high it nevery muddied up even at high volume. The only thing is i had to adjust the fade to the font to get the sound balanced with the stock rear speakers (also 5 x 7). I've had them installed 6 months and the only problem was a lose conection where i spiced the wires (i used crimpers). I run them loud and proud every day so for me they have been good speakers. Just dont be rough when installing them.

cheap speakers, average sound, I believe I have got my moneys worth with these. I put four of them in my 93 ford festiva with a pioneer deck. They sound good and I plan to leave them with the car when I get rid of it, but I will be sure to take my deck with me. They definitely serve their purpose. Add two ten inch subs and a 300Watt amp and the quality sky rockets. I would recommend these for tempary use but if your looking to put these in a car you care about and your gonna hang on to it then go with more expensive speakers like rockford or pioneer.

Replaced the stock speakers in one of my cars with these cheap replacements.

They sound good and are definately worth the price.

Come with about 10 ft of speaker wire per speaker with the connectors attached and all the neccesary mounting screws.

Also, from the research I've done, each speaker appears to be 150 RMS watts and 300 peak.
