5.0 out of 5 stars Simply the best for your money
For the longest time, to me Monster WAS the best. For people who go mainstream, that may be true. Sure, Monster is better than the store brand at famous brick and mortar stores. For people who are looking for a more exclusive brand where you will always get the best and most of your money, Audioquest is the way to go. In fact, when I heard of Audioquest, I only knew...

For the longest time, to me Monster WAS the best. For people who go mainstream, that may be true. Sure, Monster is better than the store brand at famous brick and mortar stores. For people who are looking for a more exclusive brand where you will always get the best and most of your money, Audioquest is the way to go. In fact, when I heard of Audioquest, I only knew their higher end cables. I was surprised that they made cheaper more affordable cables, and even their cheapest cable like this HDMI-A cable will beat a $300 Monster cable. Criticize if you must, but I am speaking from experience. For a while I was buying bulky overpriced M-series cables which are difficult to bend and sometimes the oversized plug was difficult to fit in some instances. I have gone as far to replace all of my Monster cables with Audioquest interconnects, coax cables, speaker cables, and even HDMI cables. In the past year alone, I have spent well over $3000 on replacing cables with Audioquest cables. They are that good! I have only purchased two of these cables (the rest higher end HDMI-X) for bedroom setups and another for using for a computer to a 40" XBR6 HDTV. I get no noise and the cables are rated for plenty of bandwith for those looking to take advantage of deep color and HD audio codec bitstreaming which will both take additional bandwith. In one room, I am running this cable from a BDS550 bitstreaming DTS-HDMA and DD TrueHD with a 1080/24p video signal to my tv and I have no issues whatsoever. You can stick your nose to the tv and not see any kind of video noise whatsoever. With the Monster cable you could see video noise that looked like an army of ants running wild on the screen (from a distance of course this is not an issue) but for those picky for quality, Audioquest is your brand. I have also had experience with Wireworld. Wireworld cables have a look and feel that make you think you got every worth of your money (pictures do them no justice until you have them in your hand), but they don't perform. An illustrative example would be to put a Ferrari body on a Miata frame and motor. That is Wireworld to me. In fact, I have about $400 worth of Wireworld cables laying around collecting dust. Wireworld is an upgrade over Monster, but not for the price.

I highly recommend Audioquest and I buy nothing else. To most, the price tag on their higher end cables are a joke, but this company puts forward a product that no other brand can touch in terms of what you get for your money.

*On a side note: this is my opinion and if you feel the need to argue it, well I can't help you there. Don't expect me to argue with you regarding your passion for another brand. This is my experience with this product and I won't change it for anything.

Item works as advertised. It is a little short but that is my fault for not ordering a longer one. I would recommend this to a friend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Devil Dog, August 5, 2010

I bought this cable to run from my Sony receiver to my TV. I ran it in my wall, up to the attic and then back down the inside of my wall, to my TV. I have a buddy who paid around $600.00 for a HDMI around the same length from a local AV shop. What a waste of money. You do not need to purchase a Monster cable for 4x as much when this will work fine. I watch blue rays on my 55' LED TV and the cable works perfect. This cable is a bargain at this price. The coating is thick and durable. I have people constantly complementing the picture on my TV, regardless if watching regular TV or a Blue Ray.

5.0 out of 5 stars AudioQuest HDMI A cable (3m), July 30, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Good quality. Contact face is tight, keep it in place. Good length. I prefer this length over 1m or 2m. I don't see too much different in picture quality between this cable and a lower cost ones. But I still like it for the solid construction of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good HDMI cable, January 19, 2010
I purchased 3 of these when I bought my home theater system. I have one running from my Samsung LN37B650 LCD HD tv to my Sony Bravia surround sound system, one to my PS3, and one to my Samsung BD-P 1600. These cables are strong and "snap" right into place securely. Started to get only 2, but when I got my blu-ray player, I was glad I got 3.
