I purchased this set to replace a pair of KLH's 905b and that was being used as my main front speakers to my DTS system. I found the AudioSource to be very flat and more natural than the KLH's in the voice range. I plan to move the KLH's back to the front and use the AudioSource for the rear speakers. I found the AudioSource a bit to flat for my use. I like the sparkle on the highs that the KLH's gave, sinch the center speaker carries the main vocials. Other than the flat or natural or a better term dull sound and I am not sure I would use the AudioSource outsied, sinch the case is ported the weather could enter the speaker, unless used under an overhange.

It's an inexpensive addition to the backyard with an expensive-like result. I've gotten more compliments from guest about the sound (highs and lows, not so much of mids) but it blew them away when they found out I spent more on speaker wires than the speaker itself. I highly recommend it to people with a small to medium listening area. My backyard is 60'X35' and it's more than enough, but I've seen way larger yard spaces and that I cannot make any recommendations for. But if your yard is as big or smaller than mine, and have a good amp, (use a fair ga. Wires, the longer the run, the thicker) then you're set.

highs are fine, lacking some what in bass, but this may be due to location of speakers, mounted in eaves. but for $30 will do the job.

I bought this new speakers for $20 on sale from Amazon to use in the garage while working on the car. this is very good speaker for $20. I bought Pyle Home PDMN38 $26 from Amazon before this purchase and very dissatisfied with Pyle speakers. almost no bass and had to turn up more than 1/2 the volume on my Sony 100 watts receiver to get some sound from the speakers. AudioSource LS 545 has much more bass and sound more fuller than Pyle speakers. I already bought another AudioSource LS 545 for the family room where kids play and if it get damaged I wouldn't feel bad about $20 loss. Since I purchased the speakers the sale price never got down to $20. Keep looking for sale.

I bought two sets one for the deck one for the garage. one set had to be returned because it was already blown. the replacement set worked for two years both stopped working at the same time. one of the outside speakers connections rusted and does not work. stay away unless you like to replace the stuff you just bought.

These indoor/outdoor speakers are great. I've had them out on my deck, exposed to extreme cold, snow and ice and extreme heat for three years. Great sound and stereo separation. You can't go wrong. You'd be stupid to spend more money on anything else.

I use these under the patio cover. They are just what I needed for outdoor speakers. The bass is a bit light but the overall performance is quite acceptable.

10 years in the harsh Maine winters and still sound great. The only complaint would be that the housing looks like it been outside ten years. The plastic’s fading and the screen’s starting to bleed rust but other than that these speakers sound just as good as when new. If my wife hadn’t got me the AW5500’s I would have defiantly bought the 545’s again. .

bought a pair of these speakers to use in my backyard, one of the woofers stopped working, so the seller sent me a replacement. The replacement's woofer was lose and the low end sounded awful. Got another replacement. A couple days after receiving the replacement, both speakers broke using a 75 watt receiver turned up less than half way

I received these speakers and found out they are very large. I had intended to put them on ceiling brackets in the kitchen but even with 10 foot ceilings they were too large. I swapped them out with some bookshelf speakers (in a white bookshelf) and they blend in perfectly. The sound is very good. I would buy them again if I had a place where I needed speakers of this size. I would also recommend them for Porches or Pool areas where a larger speaker would be beneficial.
