Product Description

The slot ported enclosures feature the same attractive appearance you are used to from Audiobahn with a black carpet finish and a Audiobahn embroidery. These subwoofer enclosures are constructed from high quality MDF and come equipped with gold binding post terminals for corrosion resistance. Flared Slot Porting The slot port design gives way to a larger surface area for the port, which is important to help decrease port velocity. This also allows for a lower tuning frequency not typically seen in pre-made enclosures. To enhance upon this design, the port is internally flared to help even-out the transition of air from the box through the port. Cone and Surround The subwoofers used in this enclosure feature a high-gloss cone made from high-strength carbon composite with laminated pulp reinforcement. This cone is much sturdier than paper cones, allowing for more aggressive operation. Standing Wave Reduction To reduce the cancellation of sound caused by standing waves, Audiobahn has used geometric simulation design software to model the box with strategic angles. These angles reflect the sound within the box to provide optimal performance. Product Features Dual 12 inch Slot Ported Loaded Subwoofer Enclosure . Power Handling RMS: 800 watts. Carbon composite cone with laminated pulp reinforcement for more aggressive operation. Rubber surround for enhanced excursion. High quality MDF construction. Black carpeted covering. These subs kick HARD. I set these bad boys up with a Boss CAP4C 4 Farad Capacitor and a Pyramid PB1217X 1600-Watt 2-Channel Mosfet Arctic Series Amplifier in my '01 Grand Prix. Installation was easy, the only surprise being that they are wired in parallel and therefore have two input ports. This is no problem at all, just make sure you have a 2 channel amplifier. They look sexy too!!!

Amazing subs for the price. I don't know if it was the settings on my amp or what but there was a major dead zone in the lower-mid notes for these subs. They hit amazing lows and decent highs and upper mids but the dead spot definitely was a minus. Other than that I have them hooked up to a 1200 watt boss phantom amp and haven't had any other problems

These subs were quite impressive for the money. They were my first set of subs and armed with a Hifonics HFi1500 wired to run 1000rms and a thirst for bass, these lasted me about a week before they blew. Lesson learned, DO NO OVERPOWER. If you're looking into buying this setup, be sure to get an amp that has a max of 800rms or you'll kill them. Overall they performed quite well. Me and anyone who rode in it ended the drive with a headache. They hit hard and with the ported box they really rumble. Turned a few heads while driving by. Just be careful not to overload. Stepping up to a pair of Pioneer Champion PRO subs that can handle 1000rms apiece. Hopefully they last a bit longer.
