Product Description

Audiovox AA-925 Keyless Entry System locks and unlocks the vehicle doors up to 100 feet away. This system includes two, 3 button icon remotes and an LED status indicator. It is designed to provide a convenient electronic means to gain access to the vehicle by providing RF remote control over the vehicle's power door lock system. The unit also includes outputs to control the vehicle's dome lights, as well as exterior parking lights. Although not an alarm system, this unit also includes a starter interrupt circuit output. It also includes two additional auxiliary outputs designed to allow for control over optional devices such as a power trunk release or engine starting device. It requires additional parts for options. This system is intended for installation on 12 Volt negative ground electrical systems only.

I bought this item after my Bulldog Keyless Entry took a dive. I was a little hesitant because of the price point and lack of details on the product's capabilities but after I received and installed it, it ROCKS! Much better than the Bulldog at about 40% less. I have basic installation experience but you don't even need that to install this thing if you can follow instructions carefully.

If you're looking for the best bang for your buck and you don't care about the crazy bells and whistles that come with the latest whizbang keyless entry systems, this is the best value out there.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works great, with a little extra work, October 31, 2010

First, I was installing into a car that did not have factory auto door locks. After the lock solenoids were installed, I needed to added a couple of relays to make the AA925 operate the locks, cheap though at $2 ea off ebay.

Also programming has to be done carefully. My first attempts were really reprogramming the remotes, until everything got messed up. Got the remote programming manual on-line (it SHOULD have been in with the unit), straightened out the programming, and it works perfectly. Decent range, lights flash, horn toots, and it CAN be used for remote start with another relay installed ($2) and can disable the ignition (another $2 relay), but I didn't go that way.

Looking forward to completing my task of making the trunk opener working, this is a neat project, great value, just a little more trouble than I anticipated.

3.0 out of 5 stars Functional, December 27, 2011

I had this in for almost a year in my 2002 Tacoma. My truck had power locks but no OEM remote option installed. I installed this and it was fairly straight forward. I did some research on my truck's wiring before starting to insure a smooth install. It went very well with no real problems.

The only gripe I have is the range of one remote even after changing batteries. It is very limited, however the other has a adequate range of about 50ft. Regardless, I don't have to use the key to unlock the door.

Overall. A bargain for the price.
