Purchased this product in conjunction with a Samsung Nexus 50. It allows me to take the small tuner module to record on the Nexus or to work on this dock with my XM-ready Yamaha home theater receiver. Turns out I didn't even need to mount the antenna in a window or outside facing South. It works with a decent signal level located inside a cabinet on the south wall of my house, picking up sufficient signal levels through the cabinet and the outside wall of my house!!! I just used the tuner display of signal strength and moved it around till I found a good signal, avoiding the need to buy an extention cable, drilling a hole through the wall and mounting it outside.

I was looking for XM solution for my apartment and was afraid that I will need to run wire to window with south view. However it pickup signal in concrete apartment building very far from any windows. Just perfect.

For this review, bottom line, it is a reasonable cost and does what it supposed to do ... it works. Works perfectly with my Yamaha XM Ready receiver. Techno gadgets are cool - tuning in XM stations on my receiver rates up there in "cool category". It is fun. ;-)

This product worked as promised. It plugged directly into my reciever. Displayed all of the relevent information. It got excellent reception. No need to place the antenna in the window.

I like the Mini-Tuner. I was using a after market radio and Audiovox XMD1000 units for XM Radio. Not happy with the after market radio. So, I pulled it and went back to the OEM radio and added the CommanderMT and Mini-tuner kit. This gives me the freedom to pull the chip and take it in the house and use it in the XM Ready Stereo. WHAT A WONDERFUL SYSTEM. Sure, you can use a XM Receiver in a boom box, but that's like listening to AM Ready when you have an iPOD... GET A XM-READY STEREO and LISTEN to XM the way it was meant to be heard -- in the house on a great system - ALL THE TIME !!! The CNP2000 Mini-Tuner Home Dock and Car Dock system is a BRILLIANT IDEA !! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE ? THANK YOU AUDIOVOX !

I was all ready to hear and enjoy XM at home just like I do in my office. Make sure you purchase the card (mini tuner)with this product...the picture is misleading. Then I had to also purchase the out door antenna with the 50 foot extension cord (2 more items)to run through basement due to the fact that the included antenna does not reach the south side window....but wait you will still have to have your basic coax cable extension to connect to outdoor antenna..the 50 foot cable you buy comes with an adapter...but now I Love my interference free XM...Hope this helps!

If you have an E1XM, you must get the satellite antenna.
Yes, there is a subcription cost ($13) a month for XM only, but it's worth it for the amazing varity and clean signal/sound.
There are actually 3 parts to the antenna that you must have.
1. Satellite antenna, aimed outside.
2. Radio reciver tuner holder, that the antenna plugs into.
3. Tuner module which plugs into the holder, which plugs into the E1XM.
I really enjoy XM radio for its content, and clean signal.
There are almost 200 channels of various kinds of music, news, sports, entertainment, and other things for your listening pleasure most of the time. Schedules for the shows vary with time and date.

Don't be misled, the MiniTuner itself is NOT included in the box! Just the dock and Antenna. The INSTALL GUIDE is titled 'XM Mini-Tuner & XM Mini-Tuner Home Dock Installation Guide', but the MiniTuner is NOT in the box.

No doubt about it. With it's sleek design and elegant black color, the Audiovox mini tuner which along with a nice sound system you can experience an aural orgasmic sensation of commercial free music for a nominal paid subscription. If music is not your forte, there are special interests formats like Opie and Anthony, the part time shock jock Howard Stern, and my personal favorite Radio Classics, I can't enough of that wholesome entertainment of Jack Benny and the great Gildersleeve. But enough about the content, the mini tuner in itself reeks of pure adrenaline. Once you are set up you will experience nirvana. The mini tuner...not just for rich people any more.

Audiovox was not cooperative in resolving my reception problem and the replacement purchase of CPH2000 XM Radio mini Tuner Home Dock with antenna did not work. XM Radio was uncooperative also. I also purchased a new XM Radio mini-tuner.
Further, the first order from Amazon, with rush shipment, failed as I was informed by Amazon 6 days after placing order that original vendor could not ship and that my order was cancelled.
