The unit features a 6.2-inch LCD designed to match the widescreen (16:9 aspect ratio) dimensions of your favorite movies. It's compatible with DVD-Video, audio CD, CD-R, CD-RW, and MP3-encoded music discs. You can even enjoy an onscreen slideshow of your cherished digital photos from recordable CDs filled with JPEG image files. The player will play PAL-formatted discs, too, such as non-region-coded releases from the UK.

The player features switchable audio/video input/output jacks, letting you use it on the road for monitoring camcorder footage or gaming devices, or in the home as a high-quality video source device using the supplied AV cables.

A supplied AC/DC power adapter lets you save batteries during indoor use, while a rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides around 2 hours of playback when you're on the go (power consumption depends on the operations of the player, such as screen brightness, volume level, etc).

Ideal for road use, D1620 includes a vehicle DC power adapter so you can save batteries on long trips. Listen through the unit's built-in stereo speakers or through headphones (not included).
