I've owned this TV almost 2+1/2 years now. The picture is nice, it has nice sound, the on screen menu is intuitive and easy to use. I would give it a much higher rating if it were more reliable. The picture went black after having it less than a year and getting warranty repair was not simple or easy to arrange, however it was provided at no cost to me and included pickup and return. The TV worked fine for another year plus, but a couple weeks ago I started having power supply problems again - turn it on and the opening screen flashes on and off for a while before it comes on, a few seconds at first, now a few minutes.
If your shopping for a new flat panel TV, be sure to include the cost of an extended warranty for this one when comparing prices.

I've had this television for a little over 2.5 years.
It's HDMI compatible with 1080i. Screen is great with every medium (DVDs, BlueRays, PS3, XBOX360, and computer). Excellent Purchase!

Great buy for the money,

I purchased this from a store that was going out of business, again leary of the Audiovox line but it was cheap so I figured what the heck. Turned out to be some of the best money I could have spent, this TV has been a gem. I use it in my bedroom with my PS3 and my Apple TV and it doesn't miss a beat. Well worth the cost, and it is 1080i.

My girlfriend bought this TV when it went on sale for $600 at a local store. It's a pretty nice TV considering it is a "budget-flat panel." We don't use it for HDTV but as far as SD it does a good job with picture quality, not as good as say a Sony, Samsung, Sharp, or other high-end TV, but for the money it's a great TV.
I also use it with my XBOX 360 and it does a suprising job with high-def games. It is NOT a 1080i screen like the other reviewer said, it is 720p. In my opinion if your not going 1080p, go 720p, theres hardly a noticable difference between 1080i and 720p-in my opinion. On the downside it only has one HDMI input, but it does have two component inputs. There is also a VGI input, not DVI like the description says, so you can't try to convert another HDMI source into DVI. It does an alright job displaying as a monitor for my laptop, but we just use it as a TV. If you're looking for a good TV for the bedroom, kids room or den, this is a good choice for a low priced LCD. |
