Audiovox Electronics FPE3707HR is an affordable choice for your home theater. This 37-inch "Ultra" high resolution HD flat panel LCD TV saves space with its detachable and a removable tilting base, which enables you to mount the set to a wall with optional VESA-compatible hardware. This set has a dual ATSC tuner over-the-air HD reception. The FPE3707HR features 1080P resolution and Faroudja's Emmy award-winning DCDi (Directional Correlational Deinterlacing) technology, which helps to eliminate the jagginess found in non-HD video content. Faroudjas unique DCDi algorithm identifies all the moving edges in a scene and adjusts the angle of interpolation at each pixel so that the interpolation always follows the edge instead of crossing it, eliminating staircasing or jagged edge artifacts. You can also view high-definition programming (1080i/720p/480p/480i) when connected to an optional receiver or cable/satellite set-top box via the component video inputs. Remote Control Included. This set also performs automatic 3:3/2:2 pulldown detection--a handy feature for watching progressive-scan movie programs in their native 24-frame format. To adapt 24 frames-per-second movies to 30 fps video, frames in the original movie must be duplicated; 3:2 pulldown digitally corrects this duplication by removing the redundant information to display a frame-accurate picture.This set has a VGA input for use with PC monitor. Other features include Dual HDMI input, DVI with HDCP input, PIP (picture in picture), closed captioning, V-chip parental controls, progressive scan and Q surround sound. Remote control included.

We did some comparison shopping for an HDTV at different stores and settled on the Audiovox for a couple of reasons. One, it was one of the least expensive HDTV's for a 37" and two, it's a 1080P resolution. Every other HDTV in this price range were 720P, which if it's a great price and it doesn't say 1080P, than it probably is 720P. You're paying a little more for 1080P than 720P but trust me it is well worth the extra money.

I have had this product for about four months now and have had no complaints. The size of the TV is just right for our small living room sitting about 8 feet away. I also like that the speakers for the TV are located on the bottom of the screen and not to the sides so it takes up less space. We watch blu-ray movies on our Playstation 3 and the picture quality is great. The only reason I give this TV 4 stars is because I have compared it to the Sony Bravia which is a TV that is nearly twice the selling price as the Audiovox. The Sony, also 1080P, has a little bit clearer picture with things that are out of focus when watching a movie (things that are in the background on the screen). I never noticed until I watched the Sony Bravia for a while. So, if your looking for a HDTV and have a small budget, I would definitly recommend the Audiovox.
