make sure you write down the SID number from the back of the unit before having it installed. It should also be on the packaging but don't bet on it...you might also be able to get it from the head unit but if it's a new stereo and you don't know how to work it yet, it might take you a while to find it and you'll need the SID to activate your sirius membership and get...

2.0 out of 5 stars Could be a great product if more engineering went into the design
I have had Sirius for years now and I have enjoyed the programming. My Sirius Sportster 4 die about a year ago and I have been using the iPhone to stream via blue tooth to the radio. Sirius appears they were not going to come out with any new, good ones, radios I figured I would get this so I can tuck it under the dash.

My main issue with the Sirius SNYSC1 Interface for Sony is that I have to pair this with the Sirius SCC1 Connect Universal Tuner. I don't see any valid engineering reason why they can't combine these two units into one unit. Yeah, people will claim they have one universal tuner and an interface module for the various radio systems, but I know they could have done some great engineering and combined the tuner and interface module into one unit. Having to mount two units under the dash is a pain.

In the end it is nice to have my dash free of visible cables and antenna wiring, but this could have been so much cleaner if Sirius combined these two units.

My fault that I bought a Sony, but I love it. The interface unit was easy to install and the satellite radio works great. I would buy this again.

It worked fine, I had it installed at Best Buy and I love it.I'm glad I made a change to update my radio with sirius radio. As far as I'm concerned you rock all the way to the top. Nice doing business with you.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not working so well, January 10, 2012

I bought this along with the Sony SNYSC1 so my wife's car would have Sirius. Installation went well, but for some reason, and at random, the feed stops and there is no audio and the screen on the Sony head unit freezes or it won't recognize the device at all. When I disconnect then reconnect the unilink cable, it starts back up. All installed correctly. It's a problem I've found on the Internet: http://community.crutchfield.com/forums/t/21500.aspx

Bought another set for my car, but I'm seriously considering keeping with the Starmate 5 already in there. Not recommended.

2.0 out of 5 stars Faulty unit, January 7, 2012

I installed the SNYSC1 along with the SCC1 and a Sony headunit, and everything is working well, except the right channel cuts in and out intermittently for no apparent reason. I sautered and shrink-wrapped all the connections for the headunit and it only happens when listening to satellite radio. After some troubleshooting, it's apparent that the SNYSC1 has a faulty connection where the RCA cable for the right channel exits the housing. I'll be contacting amazon for a replacement. I'll update the review once I get a replacement installed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sirius Interface, January 16, 2011

This product was easy to install and seems to be working as advertised. I have run into two instances now of the the satellite radio audio cut out until I disconected the power supply (yellow wire) from the Sirius interface and reconnected it to "reset" the unit. I'm not sure why this is happening.
