4.0 out of 5 stars Great entertainment for long trips
A great system for long trips, but a bit bulky and cumbersome for short ones. I drive a Subaru Outback, and the system takes up too much space to have another person occupy the middle rear seat. The sound on the system is incredible though, and far exceeded my expectations. I used to have a laptop computer in the car to play movies, but this system sounds FAR better...

1.0 out of 5 stars worthless piece of junk!
I wanted this tv so bad because of it's convenience and style that I purchased it and returned it 3 times to get a working one. Every one of them stopped functioning correctly after 8-10 days. The picture went fuzzy and only the sound could be heard. I went and upgraded to the same tv but the eddie bauer edition found at target for 50$ more and have had it over three...

The sound on the system is incredible though, and far exceeded my expectations. I used to have a laptop computer in the car to play movies, but this system sounds FAR better. The 5" screen is big enough for all passengers to view a movie, but I definately would not go smaller than this.

I bought this product for car rides and to watch videos in hotels and on a cruise ship. This is a terrific product. We use it in an suv and a small BMW sedan and it fits fine in between the front seats. My son sits in a booster seat in the middle and it is no problem. It sets up in minutes and tethers tightly to the seat framing. The picture and sound are perfect and the unit itself feels very sturdy. We originally bought the 4 inch but exchanged it for the 5 inch when it went on sale the next week. The 4 inch was ok in the car but the 5 inch is much better for using on a table top. If you take long car rides or stay in hotels regularly, this is a must have and the Audiovox is by far the best on the market. It folds up in the backpack provided and can be carried anywhere.

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes traveling with four kids a breeze, November 9, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Audiovox VBP-2000 Video-In-A-Bag with 5-Inch LCD TFT Screen (Electronics)
Bought mine almost 10 months ago and it's still working great. We are VERY VERY hard on things, and thus far it is holding up well. It's easy to use, and easy to take in and out of the car to use indoors and/or transfer to another vehicle.
The two headphone jacks are a great feature -- I got a couple of splitters and all four kids can use headphones at once, and I can listen to the radio instead of Scooby for the 100th time. Only down side is that the kids in the back of the van have trouble seeing -- I'm thinking about getting the extra screen to go in the back so I don't have to hear them argue about who sat in the back last time. Has been a good, sturdy product for us, and well worth the money.

1.0 out of 5 stars Ours was unreliable, September 12, 2003

This review is from: Audiovox VBP-2000 Video-In-A-Bag with 5-Inch LCD TFT Screen (Electronics)
The second day we had this, a quarter of the screen went black. We returned it. If you do buy one of these, get the extended warranty because the unit only comes with a 90 day warranty. It's a shame it didn't work well because the design is very convenient.

1.0 out of 5 stars works great for a while BUT.............., September 29, 2004

This review is from: Audiovox VBP-2000 Video-In-A-Bag with 5-Inch LCD TFT Screen (Electronics)
Very disappointed. Thought it was a fantastic investment, the kids loved it on long trips (we only took about 3) and then it happened....The picture went blank! Only sound came out. This is obviously a known problem so beware if you purchase this. Doesnt work for long and thats probably why the warranty is only 90 days. Too bad too because it is well made structurally and sounds great but whats the sense if the picture cant be viewed. They need to correct this known problem free of charge.

4.0 out of 5 stars VCP-2000 by audiovox, September 12, 2005
This review is from: Audiovox VBP-2000 Video-In-A-Bag with 5-Inch LCD TFT Screen (Electronics)
I use this item about 5 hrs a day, 5 days a week. It has lasted me two years in where some of the buttons couldn't function correctly. This was due to accidental droping of the unit. It is a heavy unit, not meant to be a portable like a DVD player. It goes quite loud in mono and comes with a durable case. If you work alone and have noting to do I cannot reccomend
this product highly enough. As long as you have a place to store it or drive in where carring the unit will not be an option, get it. Decent picture but of course not DVD quality. Price has dropped on line conciderably, will get another one in two years.

1.0 out of 5 stars They sent me two broken items, February 26, 2009

This review is from: Audiovox VBP-2000 Video-In-A-Bag with 5-Inch LCD TFT Screen (Electronics)
Do not buy! I received the first item and it was broken. I was refunded and sent another of the same (I thought that was great), but it was broken as well, and the contact person from the company has not answered my emails. I don't think I've had to pay for any of this at this point. But, I really wanted this product, and I don't have one. If it worked, it would be great for those of us who do not have TVs, but just need a player for video tapes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Set up is a breeze, February 23, 2004

This review is from: Audiovox VBP-2000 Video-In-A-Bag with 5-Inch LCD TFT Screen (Electronics)
I love this video player. It is compact, easy to set up and just the right size. I'm embarrassed to say it, but it's a wonderful babysitter for the car.

4.0 out of 5 stars Must have for those with little children, December 3, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Audiovox VBP-2000 Video-In-A-Bag with 5-Inch LCD TFT Screen (Electronics)
This has been a lifesaver for me on long car trips and short ones. It is very compact compared to the others. I also tried the RCA one but it does not fit between the front seats like this one. That one sits in the middle of the back seat. Does not work if you have a van. I highly recommend this product.
