An excellent country-CD,
By Marcus Thell (Jönköping, Sweden) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Audrey the Fallen (Audio CD)
Australian singer Audrey Auld has something that I believe will be liked by just about everyone. Her style is traditional - a bit towards Dale Watson. She also does a very good duet with Dale on the song "Jackson" which is included here. Other great songs here are "I'd Leave Me Too", "To The Bone", "Without You", "To Far Too Fall" and "Still Holding You". Another good song is the bluegrassinspired "Missing You". Audrey has written 10 of the record's 12 songs. A very good CD with a new singer. Highly recommended if you like traditional country.

No crossover pop on this one...,

This review is from: Audrey the Fallen (Audio CD)
I've had a copy of The Fallen since it was released and I still enjoy listening to it. Audrey wrote 10 of the 12 songs, Dale Watson duets on Jackson. This lady writes and sings 'real' country music. Most of the songs on this CD are about the moods and emotions of love gone wrong and Audrey's voice portrays this magnificently. The backing musos include some of the best in Australia. A top album that should be in everyone's collection.

JellyRoll,
By James McWain (Tyler, TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Audrey the Fallen (Audio CD)
Audrey Auld's "JellyRoll" is best country swing song in 60 years. Glenn Miller recorded a big band song with the same theme in the early 40's., "It must be jelly, cause jam don't shake like that". The rest of the songs are sung from the heart.
