YOU MUST SUPPLY YOUR OWN DRILL TO USE WITH THIS AUGER.

The 5.75'' diameter by 28" long heavy duty planting auger is designed for durability and maximum performance. Choose this diameter for 4 x 4 posts.

Completely replaceable, super tough high speed steel drilling nose combined with hard, cast steel dual cutter. These planting augers are the preferred auger for dealing with hard ground, clay, roots, ect.

Technical Info: 10-18 steel helicoid flighting, 10-20 heavy wall mandrel drawn steel tubing, cast steel cutter blade and high speed steel drilling nose.

You must supply your own drill to use with this auger. This heavy duty tree auger requires a heavy duty 1/2" corded, 28 volt cordless or gas powered drill to achieve optimum performance. Preferably your drill should have at least 8 amps to power this auger. Pistol-grip style drills will not work with this heavy duty auger.

Suitable drills to power this auger include the Makita DA4031 10 Amp 1/2-Inch Angle Drill, DEWALT DW124K Heavy-Duty 11.5 Amp 1/2-Inch Joist and Stud Drill, or the Milwaukee 1680 21 13 amp 1/2-inch Super Hawg Joist and Stud Drill.

This does the job but:

1) Hit any rocks and you are screwed.
2) The drill attachment bolted on the top is not secure and fell off on my first hole.
3) You have to be extra careful about utilities.
