This review is from: Aunt Rohde's Compost Tea, Gal. (Kitchen)
I make compost tea regularly, and a friend told me to check out this product. I have not tried it, but I have extreme reservations about any bottled compost tea product because of the unstable nature of a brewed compost tea. When I brew a compost tea, it must be used within a few hours of brewing. What happens is: the beneficial microbes in the tea are aerobic. Once oxygen is no longer being added, and/or the food [mostly molasses, but also rock dust, kelp etc.]is consumed, the batch will ALWAYS start to breed little nasty, stinky anaerobic bacteria. Those are some dangerous critters. Some can be human pathogens. This product is a blend of compost tea and kelp/humic acid. Those are nutrients one adds to make compost tea. I'll bet this stuff ferments in the bottle, is under pressure, and gets stinky.
Compost tea has produced fantastic results for me, but it must be fresh! I learned everything I know from a great book....Compost Tea Making: For Organic Healthier Vegetables, Flowers, Orchards, Vineyards, Lawns
