Latex provides better elasticity than nitrile, chloroprene, or vinyl, and better puncture resistance than vinyl. This powder-free glove leaves no residue, reducing the risk of contamination compared to a powdered glove. This ambidextrous white glove is suitable for dental and medical examination applications.

Tensile strength, measured in MPa, is the amount of force required to rip a glove; the higher the number, the stronger the glove material. Elongation measures how much a glove can be stretched before it breaks. It is expressed as a percent of the original length of the glove at the moment of breakage; the higher the percent, the more the glove can stretch. AQL is an FDA quality specification for the defect rate in surgical and exam gloves. The FDA requires an AQL of 1.5 for surgical gloves and 2.5 for exam gloves.

Disposable and limited-use gloves are used in medical, forensic, scientific, food service, and industrial applications. Disposable gloves are commonly made from flexible materials such as latex, nitrile, chloroprene, and vinyl. While most disposable gloves are designed for use on either hand, some can be purchased in hand-specific models. They are offered powdered or powder-free; silicone or silicone-free; chlorinated or non-chlorinated; coated or uncoated; with a standard- or extended-length cuff; sterile or non-sterile; and with textured or smooth fingers, fingertips, and palms. A glove's abrasion, cut, and puncture resistance are defined by glove material and thickness, and may be improved with the use of exterior coatings. Abrasion resistance means the glove helps protect the hand from contact with rough surfaces. Cut resistance means the glove helps protect the hand from blades and sharp instruments. Puncture resistance means the glove helps protect the hand from objects such as needles. Chemical resistance means the glove helps protect the hand from certain chemicals, and varies by glove material.

Aurelia Gloves manufactures disposable gloves. The company, founded in 2000 and headquartered in Aurora, IL, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 2859-1:1989.

These gloves are much thicker and sturdier than the drugstore brand I'd been using. They are secure and extremely well made. I agree with the user who said that they could be reused in a personal kitchen setting, which is what I bought them for.

A note on sizing -- I wear a women's glove size 7 and picked the medium size. The gloves are the tiniest bit large for me but for my purposes I actually prefer them not to be tight all around, and they are snug enough to allow good handling of raw meat and there are no gaps at the wrist. To my amazement, my husband, who has a size 13 wedding ring, can wear them, too. I was astonished. They are tight on him but they don't constrict his motion, he says they are comfortable enough for kitchen work, and they didn't show any signs of splitting or breaking even on his large hands.

In short, I'm extremely satisfied and glad I took the plunge by ordering 1000.

I bought these to replace the gloves I got from Harbor Freight for doing mechanic work. The description stated industrial use as one of the purposes for these. However, after the first dip in my parts cleaner they dissolved almost instantly. It should say medical and dental use only.

I have used only a few of these gloves so far. They worked great. They stood up to some vigorous tasks without tearing. The fit was good.

Yah, i know these aren't sterile. They are excellent gloves for a variety of uses. The 5 mil. thickness is perfect... just thin enough to be sensitive and well thick enough to stand up against genuinely rough use. Using the latex gloves from the local hardware or drug store, I got used to inevitable tears, fingers opening up, single use at best. Aurelia will make you pleased you bought them... I am on the fourth use of one pair. Well worth it. I just hope they keep making them.

Great disposable gloves!

For years, I had been using disposable gloves purchased from Harbor Freight, Wal-Mart or Target. In comparison, these gloves are *far* superior. They fit the hand better, they have a small amount of texture on the outside which makes for avoiding the slippage that is so common with disposable gloves.

A great product.

These hold up pretty well for the kind of work I do. I use them when working on my side-by-side - lots of greasy, dirty stuff. They do tear though - usually well into the job. So they're OK... but next time I will look for some that are thicker. Not a bad value but they don't last more than 20-30 minutes.

I use latex gloves from everything from working on the car to scouring dirty pots and pans. These Aurelia Vibrant gloves are the best I have found. They are thicker than usual and higher on the wrist. I bought a 1,000 pack and split it with my neighbor. He likes them too.

These are very sturdy and a fraction of the cost you'd pay at a home supply store. I purchased a bag of 25 gloves at Lowe's for about $7. I blew through them because they continually ripped. These glove are 4 times the amount and will not rip or tear from ordinary use.
