I have been prone to swimmer's ear as long as I can remember. As an adult, I avoid pools partly because of getting water stuck in my ear for hours or days at a time. I have tried bobbing my head around, which the medicine is worse the cure and doesn't work 99% of the time, laying down for hours hoping to get the water out, hair dryers, etc.

After my in-laws bought a home with a pool, I got cajoled into swimming. Out of desperation, I picked up this product from the grocery store, and does the trick fast! Simply put a few drops in the ear, let it swish around in there for a few seconds, and than tilt your head so it drains. The alcohol and the water stuck in your ear will leak out.

I'm not attacking the negative review from user Haley, but it's important to keep in mind her specific circumstances. If you have a t-tube in your ear and it's raw and inflamed, don't put alcohol in your ear. If you don't have damage to your ear but just have water in it, go for it!

I have used this product for many years (since my younger competition years)when I spent more time in the pool than out. I have found this Product with its high isopropyl alcohol content to be the best for drying the ear canal.
It may sting a little when applying due to the 95% alcohol, but it gets the job done fast.

For years I suffered with painful swimmers ears. This product has solved that problem. It is also quite easy to use: it only takes a few seconds and my ears are dry.

I can't carry rubbing alcohot in my suitcase when I travel but since I often swim in hotel pools I need something to drain my ears. I sure don't want to get an ear infection while not at home. Great product for vacations.

Wow, so impressed with this product! Have had a bad head cold this past week, and my ears keep plugging badly, not just a bit muffled, but all the the way, queasy feeling, this will never end plugged. Pseudoephedrine wasn't even helping. I was ready to go crazy this morning, because my left ear would not unplug--did all the Eustachian tube excercises, laid down on both sides, hopping on one foot with head tilted, etc. Nothing, still fully plugged. Then I remembered I had a bottle of Auro-Dri, and thought what the heck, probably won't help, but it can't hurt. I laid on my right side, put some in, waited for five or six minutes, then sat up and let it drain onto a tissue and finally, FINALLY, my ear is clear! Yeah, I feel like shouting it from the rooftops! There will always be a bottle of this in my cupboard. Thanks, Auro-Dri--it was like a miracle to me.
