i love this toothpaste. for those with bad teeth and bad gums, this is the best.
I've tried other neem toothpastes and some have SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) which is corrosive and causes canker sores and so I was looking for one without SLS. This is not the EXACT Auromere toothpaste I used - it was the one with cardamom and fennel.Herbal Toothpaste Cardamon-Fennel 4.16 Ounces This licorice version without cardamom and fennel seems to have SLS. I like Auromere because:
1. it has no SLS
2. neem is high on its ingredients list
3. it has many other helpful healing Indian Ayurvedic herbs that help your mouth and body
4. it holds its form better than other neem toothpastes without SLS like Himalaya
5. unlike other neem toothpastes like Desert Essence and unlike mainstream USA toothpastes without neem, there's no stinging/irritation in the mouth

I got a racy heart, hyperactive, and then passed out in a sleep for 11 hours. However, my husband got NO side effects at all. So, some people may be able to handle SLS more than others can. It all depends on the individual's current physicalities, current medications/supplements and genetic make-up. Everyone's different and will get a unique experience.
I tried it again the next day. Same problems.
The taste? The taste was great and my teeth felt nice afterward as well. But those were the only redeeming qualities for me. One star as SLS should not be in toothpaste, skin, or any hair products. But that's just my opinion.
4/6/14 follow up: I still really like this stuff but I'm finding that every tube tastes slightly different. I just bought a 4-pack and tasted every tube - all slightly different. Some are more licorice-y, some mintier. I was going to return them and decided it was too much hassle.
