Somewhere between Paulinho da Viola (with whom he's been a frequent collaborator), Monarco, and Martinho da Vila, Elton is a traditional sambista - a master of small polished sambas. With his slightly rough, always accurate voice, his great timing, his humor, his vibrato, he can ride a beat better thean Louis Armstrong . . and with something of the same quality. You should buy this CD.
