Another take on Our Lady of Lupe Velez,
By Flea (Los Angeles, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Lupe Velez, a Medio Siglo De Ausencia, LA Novia Latina De Norteamerica/Lupe Velez After a Half Century Absence (Spanish Edition) (Paperback)
Although this book offers readers an interesting journalistic approach to the life of Lupe Velez from the perspective of a Mexican writer, it is poorly cited. Be wary of what you are reading as some of Corona's dates are confusing and not very clear. I did appreciate the photographs that were published and especially the one of her death certificate. However, for a more in depth and factual look at Lupita's life story you should accompany Corona's reading with Gabriel Ramirez's -- Lupe Velez: la mexicana que escupia fuego.

Lupe Velez, a Medio Siglo De Ausencia, La Novia Latina De No,
By A Customer
This review is from: Lupe Velez, a Medio Siglo De Ausencia, LA Novia Latina De Norteamerica/Lupe Velez After a Half Century Absence (Spanish Edition) (Paperback)
I found this to be a deeply probing book into the life of miss velez. She was truly a sad and complex individual. For more on her twisted descent from Hollywood Hell, watch E! Mysteries and Scandals.
