I am a Caribbean woman & I am relaxed, I am a part of several hair boards/blogs catered to Black women w/ kinky or curly hair & there's so many raves about this, I always thought Aussie to be for women w/ str8 European textured hair but one day while visting my mom in Pennsylvania where they don't have Beauty Supply Stores as stocked as those in NYC I went to Rite Aid seen this was on sale I got it based on all the raves plus my hair was so thirsty. My hair is very picky & doesn't like most products but my hair has a love connection w/ Aussie Moist Conditioner....I use it for conditioner washes or after doing a heavy protein treatment, I use it on dry or wet hair & no matter what my hair melts at the sight of it! The slippage I receive from this is remarkable. when I'm several weeks post relaxer & I have a ton of new growth which very thick & wavy & tight coiled in different areas & once I put this in & wash it out my new growth is detangled almost immediately!

I know another reviewer didn't like it as much...but this is my positive review!

I have just discovered the aussie line and am so happy that I did and mad that I've missing out all this time on it! I actually tested this line out along wtih TGIF and while I loved the TGIF line I love Aussie a smidgen better and for the cost will definiltey be making this my staple line.

I used the whole line (conditioner, shampoo & 3 minute miracle) starting with the conditioner as my prepoo followed by the shampoo to cleanse followed by the 3 minute miracle to deep condition and my hair has never felt better!! Even as I washed out the shampoo my hair was soooo soft and I was able to run my fingers right through my hair which I must mention both the conditioners and shampoo have excellent slip! The deciding point for me was when I rinsed out and left my hair to dry because sometimes products work well while washing but as soon as I rinse out and dry so does my hair until I put something else on it. Well not with this line, my hair remained soft while drying and I was extremely pleased! Aussie Moist is my new hair friend!!

This has great slip, decent moisture and a yummy smell. I get in the shower, wet my hair thoroughly and squeeze some across my fingertips. I put it in the crown of my head, smooth it down, and I flip my hair over to put some underneath. After that I take a little more and massage it into my scalp, midsections and ends. I let it steam while I bathe and wash my face, then I detangle with my Denman D4 brush under running water. Usually my hair is so tangled that I can't even get a wide tooth comb through it, but now that I don't have to spend so much time combing out my hair in the shower I can sleep longer in the morning. :) For a while I would rinse a little out and leave the rest in, but I noticed that since it's not super moisturizing it made my hair a little dry and brittle, so I only use it to detangle, then I wash it all out.

I am a Black women with kinky, coily, nappy 4c hair that requires a ton of moisturizing conditioner. Upon hearing such rave reviews for Aussie Moist conditioner, I decided to try it out, and it was like I struck gold!

Until I found out that Aussie Moist, who is owned by Proctor & Gamble, performs cruel testing on animals- mainly bunnies. The rabbits have their eyes clamped open, and chemicals are dropped into their eyes causing bleeding, blindness, burning, and severe discomfort. After testing, all of the animals are killed. From www.humansociety.org:

'Q: What animal tests are carried out to test cosmetics?
A: Although they are not required by law, several tests are commonly performed by exposing mice, rats, rabbits and guinea pigs to cosmetics ingredients. This can include:

-skin and eye irritation tests where chemicals are rubbed onto the shaved skin or dripped into the eyes of restrained rabbits without any pain relief

-repeated force-feeding studies lasting weeks or months to look for signs of general illness or specific health hazards such as cancer or birth defects; and

-widely condemned "lethal dose" tests, in which animals are forced to swallow large amounts of a test chemical to determine the dose that causes death.
At the end of a test the animals are killed, normally by asphyxiation, neck-breaking, or decapitation. Pain relief is not provided. In the United States, a large percentage of the animals used in such testing (such as laboratory-bred rats and mice) are not counted in official statistics and receive no protection under the Animal Welfare Act.'

The funny part?

Aussie Moist Conditioner, 13.5-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 6)
I have very sensitive scalp and skin so down the years i have had some disasters with hair care chemical combinations in some products on the market,so i have to be careful in what i use.
This product is excellent,i can use it frequently and have never had any discomfort or adverse reaction.
The best results for me with this are obtained by soaking my hair completely, massaging the conditioner into the strands and scalp then towel wrapping for 5 to 7 minutes before showering it out on a low temp water setting,if the water is too hot it will melt and wash out the conditioner coating the hair and scalp before it`s absorbed thus i would get next to no benefit.
In these days of chemical combinations and additions it`s great to find a product i can use for its purpose without adverse reaction to it.
*I test any product with a dab on the inside surface my forearm beforehand to see if i have any reaction in advance of using it.
