Save your cash!!, December 13, 2007
This review is from: Austin Bazaar B Flat Yellow Brass Trumpet with Case
This thing is junk. It started to fall apart within a year, and the valves have stuck since day 1. Save your money and buy a good used instrument.

Nice Basic Trumpet for Kids' Band, September 20, 2005
This review is from: Austin Bazaar B Flat Yellow Brass Trumpet with Case
Searching for choices of trumpets from $90 to $400, we were practical in deciding to get a low price, worry free instrument. This takes the stress out of any bad things that your child might do with their instrument over the next school year. (Or if the want to quit.) We were surprised that it looked good, the quality was good, a mouth piece is included, and the case is heavy duty, all better than expected at this price. So with this trumpet have a fun year in band, don't worry, be happy!

This is a great Trumpet, December 26, 2006
This review is from: Austin Bazaar B Flat Yellow Brass Trumpet with Case
I am writing this after purchasing an Austin Bazaar B Flat Yellow Brass Trumpet back in September. This is the first year our daughter was eligible for a musical instrument and she wanted to play Trumpet. I didn't want to spend a lot of money or rent one, since there is no telling whether or not she would stick to it, so we bought an Austin Bazaar. It is a good quality instrument at an outstanding price and the company is great to deal with.
We have been really pleased at the quality and this Trumpet will last her for a while as she learns to play. I would recommend this Trumpet to any parent looking for a first instrument for their children. It would have cost me over $200 in rental fees per year for a Trumpet that we would not have owned.
Here is another tip for you. When your child gets better and you are looking for a better quality instrument, talk to the band director of your schools as they normally know some graduating seniors who are selling theirs or who have purchased another one and have a used one to sell.
As far as maintenance, we purchased a basic kit and I help her oil the valves and wax the slides once a week and the Trumpet performs fine. I downloaded a maintenance guide and it is pretty easy to follow.
Hope this helps.
