This review is from: Austin-Healey 3000 Mk3 Owner Hndbk (Owners Handbook) (Hardcover)
This book is fine - as far as it goes. However there is a green cover book (also called a factory manual) which covers the whole history of the car. The Green book is complete, and because many of these cars now have "mix and match" parts, I strongly recommend the more complete book. That is unless you are 100% certain that you car does not contain parts not in this book. (not likely)
You absolutely, positively need to have one of the factory manuals if you are going to work on your car - I strongly recommend the green one. The factory manual is decently laid out. But remember it was designed for trained techs. Certain assumptions are made and certain directions are less than complete. I have since purchased the Haynes manual and the hardcover autobooks manual. I find that each has its high and low points. If I was only going to get one, however, this would be it. |
