OK, I noticed that no-where on this page does it actually tell you that the CD case is Pink crushed velvet on the outside with the Spy who sh@#ged me logo and the inside has a black velvet bit where the CD goes and a realy cool silver shiney pocket with austin on it for the sleve. I didn't find this out until it fell through the door into my waiting hands. The songs are good too :-)Donny.

Not like the actual movie's soundtrack...,

When I first saw the movie I was psyched to get the soundtrack; I mean, so many great songs... Magic Carpet Ride, Time for All Seasons, Let's Get It On... Unfortunately none of them turned out to be on this CD. There are a few good songs, but it's really not the same feel as you get from the music when actually watching the film. It seems that Vol 2 of this CD would be pretty good from the track listings, but I don't actually have a copy. My advice: if you are going to buy one CD this year: make it vol 2. But if you are going to buy two, vol 1 is decent too.

Soundtrack of some of the film,

Many ofthe songs from the film do not appear on the soundtrack leaving it void of some of the rocking tunes that featured. The absence of these songs is noticable on the CD as it leaves it with less memorable songs.

By far one of the best soundtracks that I currently own. 'Beautiful Stranger' describes the holidays I just got back from. Such a wicked song. Madonna rocks!!!! 'American Woman' is probably one of the best re-made versions of any song that was ever re-done. Scary Spice has an awesome solo career about to happen I think. She rocks as well. This CD if filled with awesome tunes. A definite must-have for any music lover.

"Beautiful Stranger", is quite the comeback since "Take A Bow", as a fan I pray that this track will become her 12th No.1 single. No more Mariah (I can't get an apartment in New York)Carey or Celine Dion. If the record company gets off their ass and releases a single commercially there is the chance. As for the rest of the soundtrack. Let me see. Well, if you bought a cassette, you got a lot of extra tape to record all of your other favorite songs after "Beautiful Stranger". Scary Spice, has got more issues than Sports Illustrated trying to remake the funk classic "Word Up" by: Cameo. R.E.M is better off writing their own material and not singing at all, and Lenny Kravitz has that nasty song on his album "5" which is enough. Madonna carries this album, but Austin Powers is awesome too. Congratulations Mike Myers on an awesome sequel. Madonna knew she could carry this soundtrack because of her large following as for everyone else on the soundtrack I have to give her props for being charitable to her fellow peers in the music industry. She knows she is the DIVA, and they are her clones. GO GIRL. 17 years and counting.......webogirl/publishing on top still....

This is okay, but you will tire of it... "Espionage" is my fave. My eight-year old brother likes "Just The Two Of Us", it is a novelty that you will quickly find yourself skipping past. The opening "Beautiful Stranger" sets the mood for the movie, and for this reason it differs from the rest of the album with the exception of the closing track.

Madonna certainly has to get tons of credit for "Beautiful Stranger" which has been a huge hit and its was nice to actually see a 60s song on the soundtrack by The Who. R.E.M. made a nice try at "Dragging the Line" but I can't say that it has been one of their better preformances. Lenny Kravitz also made an effort at "American Woman" but, sadly, didn't have the passion and power that The Guess Who had when they sang it so long ago. Melanie G's song shouldn't be on this soundtrack. Nuff said. The Dr. Evil song was hilarious and brought back sceen's from the movie into my head. The Green Day song seems to have the proper essence of the Austin Powers' attitude while the next two songs (by Blue Blue Missile and The Flaming Lips), well to put it bluntly, just didn't. I personally enjoyed "Alright" by Lucy Nation and the last two songs don't very catch my attention or others' either. All in all, this soundtrack is all right but it's strange that the soundtrack for a movie based in the 60s has only a few songs from the 60s...

Yeah baby, another hit, another hit soundtrack. This one was groovier than the first so I always have to say Oh behave when Dr. Evil says "Getting jiggy..wit it" or when Austin Powers says "My Mojo's working overtime". As I right this I am listening to Madonna sing Beautiful Stranger.

Swingin' is a good word to describe the soundtrack to International Man of Mystery. Unfortunately, that adjective does not quite fit the soundtrack to The Spy Who Shagged Me. I am not a very big Madonna fan, but I thought her single on this rocked! But there were fewer tracks on this soundtrack, and too many of them were rehashes that failed to capture the spirit of their older counterparts, especially the bizarre mix of Soul Bossa Nova (which, as far as I could tell, was not even used in the movie). Still, I did enjoy it, and it is a welcome addition to my soundtrack collection.
