Amazon.com Product Description

Austin Powers 2: "Welcome to My Underground Lair!" is a collection of activities and minigames that are selectable through a parody of Windows operating systems. Games include rock, paper, scissors; Othello; Dr. Evil stunt racing; and a Pac-Man clone. The background, sound effects, icons, mouse cursors, and screen savers all are customizable. Users can print notes with the Game Boy Printer, and link up with or beam info to other Game Boy Colors. There's a library of media from the movie, including sound clips and a 30-second video clip.

Product Description

Fans of AUSTIN POWERS will find a lot to do in AUSTIN POWERS: Welcome to My Underground Lair. This game turns your Game Boy Color into a mini-organizer, complete with a word processor (the Evil Launch Pad), a calculator (the Frickulator), and a mockup web browser that contains facts about the popular movies. Looking for something a bit more game-related? Well, AUSTIN POWERS has those in spades, too. The largest of the games, "Kin-Evil," has Dr. Evil and Mini-Me riding their scooter through a variety of stunt-packed stages. Also available for your enjoyment are the "Mojo Maze," a takeoff on PAC-MAN, "Domination," a board game similar to OTHELLO, and finally "Rock or Paper or Scissors," which pits you against an AUSTIN POWERS character in a play of the classic game. Customize the backdrop of all this fun by choosing wallpaper, screensavers, sound effects, and more. You can also link up to play some of the games with a friend or foe using either AUSTIN POWERS: Oh Behave! or AUSTIN POWERS: Welcome to My Underground Lair

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst item I've ever bought, October 4, 2000

This has to be the worst game i have ever bought. Its not even really a game .It basically turns your gameboy into a computer and there are a few games on(like rock paper scissors and a pac man type thing) it but nothing terribly fun. I am really disappointed with it. You think it would be cool with a title like this... Dont buy it!

2.0 out of 5 stars Dr.Evil just is plain old evil, November 9, 2000
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Austin Powers 2 - "Welcome To My Underground Lair" (Game Cartridge)
You may have seen my review of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire for the Game Boy Color. Well, this game is the worst piece of trash I've seen in a long time.

This game has a PC interface, although it does a horrendous job at that. You basically get to choose a psychedelic movie character background, choosing from Fembots, Mini Me, Dr, Evil, the weird cat, and other ridiculous people. The screensavers stink too, they only work on this game.

The games are the worst attribute to this gaming experience seeing as how they have no thought, fun, creativness, and did I mention fun. The game ~Mojo Maze~ is a badly done rip off of Pac Man, although you can't see the entire screen, so heck, run into another enemy, who cares. The controls in this game are so bad that you won't want to ever play it again let alone twice to actually see the screensavers. The game ~Kin' Evil~ is a little more fun, but still not fun. The game interface has a bunch of wacky, out of place colors, and you whoop around with Mini Me in a motorcycle, going off bumps and stuff. The game ~Domination~ is a game that you will actually play more than .09 times. It is a copy of Othello, but heck, that was a cool game. Then there's a Paper Rock Scissors game, and I won't even talk about it because it just is so terrible and not, not, not, not fun at all in any possible way.

There's also a Frickulator, a weird caculator, and a typing machine so that you can send messages infra-red to your friends. Don't get me wrong though, you'll get bored of it in about five hours.

Then there's some sound files and movie files, and they're good for a laugh about once or none.

All in all, this game is so bad, it just stinks. Bad. No gameplay, no fun.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great game, October 10, 2000

I thought this game was fun. I like that it has many little games. That way it is like getting more games for the price of one. Also it has cool movie clips and sound bites.
