Authenticity is Questionable, December 10, 2009
This review is from: Ugg Australia Women Classic Tall Boots Chestnut US Sz 8 (Apparel)
When I got these for my sister-in-law, she noticed they had 'Made in China' stamped on them. Although many vendors indicate the Uggs are mad in China because Ugg Australia no longer holds the rights to 'Ugg'. Ugg does control who is authorized and licensed to sell the product. Unfortunately, Amazon and Colorado Outdoor Company (Amazon's vendor) do not have the authorization to sell Ugg products online, thus exploiting the opportunity to pass on counterfeit products.
Although the pair purchased are of a nice quality - its' authenticity is questionable.

Ugg-tastic!, January 20, 2010
This review is from: Ugg Australia Women Classic Tall Boots Chestnut US Sz 8 (Apparel)
I've never owned a pair of UGGs til now! And I'm very satisfied with the quality and warmth it gives me. My ONLY complaint is that it gave me a blister on the back of my heel.
I've only been wearing them for 4 days now. Since then the temperature has been in the high 10s and low 30s and so far...its been warm and cozy. It feels like my feet are stepping on a fluffy soft cushion. I did buy the waterproofing for the sheepskin, hoping to keep these as long as I've heard others have.
I only just noticed that its "Made in China" tag, which someone mentioned on their review, and I did my research.
Apparently, after the Decker Company from the U.S. bought the UGG trademark, the U.S. started having their UGG products made in China.
But you can still find UGGs made in Australia and New Zealand. It seems most U.S. Retailers sells the "Made in China" design.
I like the quality and warmth.. so hooray! Except for my blister but I'll live.
FOUND THIS INFO ABOUT THE "MADE IN CHINA":
Thank you for your below inquiry on the country of manufacture of UGG brand boots. As you note, most UGG Classics are now made in China. Our Australian sources simply could not handle the volume of boots we now manufacture. The vast majority of sheepskin used to manufacture Classics in China, however, continues to come from Australia. Also, our quality standards have not changed - the boots we make in China are as high (if not higher) in quality than anything we have ever made. We also continue to make some UGG brand footwear in Australia and New Zealand. The UGG Ultra short, Ultra tall, Sundance ll and Nightfall, for example, are all made in New Zealand. Some scuffs and slippers are made in Australia

The Best Choice for Winter Boots, December 27, 2009
This review is from: Ugg Australia Women Classic Tall Boots Chestnut US Sz 8 (Apparel)
As a person who is tight with her money, it took all of my effort to convince myself to buy these boots. Since I had heard good things from many people and had some extra money, I decided to give them a shot. I must say that I could not be more impressed. These boots are fabulous; so warm, cute, and comfortable. I have a feeling they will last me for years and will definitely be worth the money in the end. One thing I do recommend is to get a protective spray if you will be wearing them in the snow.
