if you're looking for a book as a 1st time dog owner that has nothing to do with ACDs, then I still wouldnt recommend this book.
however that may be the only person that would find any value out of this book.

This book has almost zero ACD specific information. It was as if someone took a book written for another dog or dogs in general and then added a few info that they found from various dog related websites. You can check animal planets website and find out just as much ACD info as you can in this book.

You would think that at least there are some good pictures of ACDs in this book. you would be wrong. It felt like they sent out a mass emailing looking for people home photos of their ACDs and just put what they found in the book.

I would rate this book a zero out of 5 stars if possible.

I love this book in particular as it gives a great account of Australian's farmer's history, their needs and how to creat a dob breed with the best fit to their needs. We have both, a blue heeler and a celpy - it's fantastic to read how their ancestors were bred with Dingos.

The book came fast, in great condition. I will buy fromt this person again...The book gives a history on the Cattle Dog, personality traits,raising them, etc. I found it to be worth the buy. I have left it out on my coffee table and my son's teenage friends have commented that it's an interesting book and it definitely described our Cattle Dog.

Great book. Upon completion our Dog Zippy, a blue healer ate the book. To clarify she tore it to pieces.

FANTASTIC book - great photos, illustrations and packed with information. A must-have for any Australian Cattle Dog owner!

Very good information in this book on the temperament and characteristics of this breed. What a loving, attentive and affection dog this is! We adopted a Blue Heeler puppy and he is the most interesting, intelligent and joy-filled little guy we've ever had! Good material in this book!
