Kev's 3rd album from 1989, May 1, 2009
This review is from: My Australian Roots (Audio CD)
- Amazing Grass -
Is Kev's rendition of the traditional Amazing Grace song, twisted around into a pot smokers melody.
- Double Decker Dog -
This one is about the innocence of children who don't understand some things about life just yet.
- Featherbrained Championship -
Is about two bar patrons who get into a fight over a game of pool.
- First 6 Rows of Chairs -
About a great singer who can't work out why no body sits in the first few rows of his show.
- Flowers -
This is probably one of Kev's most romantic songs. I enjoy putting this one on to serenade my girl friend.
- My (penis) On The Dole -
Dole is a word for Australian unemployment benefit. And now that he's single again, his little man is out of work too.
- Never find one when you need one -
a song that tells the truth about so much.
- Olie & Olga -
This is a great lil' tale about a woman named Olga who slips out one night cause she wants a baby and get's knocked up, and can't hide it from Olie, who dies of the blues... and yodeling.
- The Builder -
A song about a little kid who comes home from the construction site and has picked up a few new lingoes (words)
- The Great Roberto -
A song about a guy who goes to join the circus as a joke, and finds himself doing an amazing trick.
- You outta see me when i'm pi..drunk..ed -
A classic song about being drunk.
