Book Description

January 22, 2004
At last - the real reason why Britain exported convicts to Australia - golf courses had to be designed, locals cajoled into joining, and 19ths appropriately stocked. Did they succeed? This astonishing tour de force of golfing extravaganza leaves us in no doubt.

1.0 out of 5 stars Buyer beware, July 21, 2006

This review is from: Australia's Toughest Golf Holes (Paperback)
As a non-golfer looking for a golf book on Australia for my husband, I thought I'd found something useful when I ordered this book. Turns out this is a "fantasy golf" book whose impossibly located holes have been computer-generated. So if you're ordering it looking for a book that will tell you where to play in Australia, forget it!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a Humor Book - And it's great!, December 4, 2006
This review is from: Australia's Toughest Golf Holes (Paperback)
If you thought this book was serious as the previous reviewer did, you may be disappointed. But I don't see how. This book is hilarious. I first bought the America's Toughest Golf Holes years ago and literally laughed so hard I was crying. Have a look at the preview images Amazon provides you - you'll see this book is tongue and cheek and the photos are amazing. Golf lovers will love this book!

It is only this delightfully testing par 5 - the longest in NSW it is believed, if you take the safe route along the beach (but reachable in two if you go direct, though you'll need on Aqua ball and a caddy-raft) - which makes Broken Bay a 'must' for visiting golfers. Read the first page
