An excellent contribution, June 7, 2009
This review is from: The Authentic Constitution - An Originalist View of America's Legacy (Paperback)
"The Authentic Constitution" is an excellent addition to the literature of constitutional history and analysis based upon "original intent". It covers the most consequential of constitutional questions that are (or at least should be) at issue today, including the monetary authority of Congress, the power to regulate commerce, taxation, the war power, true "homeland security" (specifically, the Militia of the several States and the Second Amendment), immigration and national integrity, and the Bill of Rights. Unlike many books in this area, though, it is written in a fluid style that will hold the interest of, as well as inform, the average reader.
In short, it is a concise, yet anything but superficial, source of basic information for people who want a solid overview of the subject. Highly recommended.
