5.0 out of 5 stars True Authenticity, May 31, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: The Authentic Guide to Drinks of the Civil War Era, 1853-1873 (Paperback)
This is a fascinating book, containing some great drink recipies. I've listed a few below.

Bottled Velvet
Corpse Reviver
Gothic Punch
Imperial Raspberry Whiskey Punch (10 gallon recipe)
National Guard 7th Regiment Punch
None Such Punch
Stonewall Jackson
Tween Deck Cup or A Splitting Headache
Yankee Punch

There are some great punch recipes that I've used for several parties.

It even contains a section about the manufacture of liquors with quite a few recipes.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone for just the punch recipes. But I would expect that civil war reenactors who want to be truly authentic, down to even what they drink would have a great time with this book!
