Best book on Pasta that I have had the pleasure of using,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Authentic Italian Kitchen: Pasta (English and Italian Edition) (Hardcover)
The books contains great recepies not only for pasta but also for wonderful sauces. I refer to this book time and again for "real" italian pasta cooking. Few cook books compare. Buy it!

Eat, Read, and Be Merry,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Authentic Italian Kitchen: Pasta (English and Italian Edition) (Hardcover)
This distinctively bound, whimsically illustrated book is a pleasure not only to browse through but also to cook from. Well organized and carefully translated from the Italian, this book is for cooks at all levels of proficiency. Fortunately, its heavy "strawpaper" pages lend themselves well to frequent handling, because pasta aficionados will refer to these usually simple and straightforward, and always delicious, recipes over and over again.

This is a great book, with lots of interesting easy recipes. I only wish the publisher had been able to release more books in this series beyond this one and the one on seafood.

Horrible cardboard cover, ugly cheap greenish pages, impossible-to-read recipes with italics and busy graphics everywhere,

I ordered this book but once I received it, it's so ugly and awful-feeling that I can't stand to use it. The cover is actual cardboard (the edges are open and you can see at the ends that it's just plain old box cardboard) and the pages are cheap-feeling greenish matte paper like construction paper. The recipes are buried in messy childish graphics and cartoons and the ingredients are in hard-to-read italics. I'm going to give this away to a thrift shop.
