5.0 out of 5 stars Best Book on the History of Exegesis, December 29, 2007
This review is from: Authority and Interpretation of the Bible: An Historical Approach (Hardcover)
It is entirely too bad that Rogers' and McKim's book is out of print. While they do have a point of view they present a coherent picture of the trends in both the theology of the Authority of Scripture and methods of interpretation. While many have written about the Reformation era and the 19th and 20th Centuries few have analyzed the Early Church Fathers and even less have covered the whole history.

This book should be required reading for every seminary student.
