"The Author's Companion: A Self-Guided Course on Book Promotion" is the brilliance of PR Diva Queen Christine Louise Hohlbaum and her internationally successful Book Marketing Class all on one CD-Rom - includes four audios and complete workbook with exercises and over 200 clickable links. Saves authors thousands of dollars and helps build a powerful PR foundation! Because many authors have a notoriously low cashflow, Hohlbaum has designed a product to fully answer the question, What do I do now? once the authors book is published. "The Author's Companion" shows you how to market your book cost-effectively. The self-guided course is broken down into four parts: Author's Toolbox, Beyond the Book Review, ABC's of Pitching to the Media, and Success - What to do when the media say "Yes!". Each segment is designed to build on the other with cross-references to the four-part audio series in which Hohlbaum interviews several best-selling authors to tackle the topic of effective book promotion. Audio program includes best-selling author and marketing strategist Lissa Coffey, "Book Marketing from A to Z" author Francine Silverman, veteran media star Lillian Cauldwell, and "Grab the Queen Power" author Allyn Evans. "The Author's Companion" takes the author step-by-step through the PR process. The goal is to assist the author in building the strongest platform possible. The course contains sage advice from award-winning journalists as well as newer authors with some vastly creative ideas
I have been living in Germany since 2003. Living in the countryside, with few distractions (aside from two 'vivid' children who keep me on my toes), I have found an organic balance between work and life. In fact, they mesh so nicely I can barely tell the difference. Well, sometimes.
I became a published author quite by accident. It happened one day while at the doctor's office. The short of it is I began to see humor in the uncontrollable, such as toddlers having to pee right as you're completely unclothed at the dermatologist's. It got me to thinking about how therapeutic writing is. The more I wrote, the more engaged I became as a participant-observer in life.
Writing serves not only to communicate, but also to transform. If I can change one person's mood, thoughts or feelings with my words, I have done my job. Writing to me is the singularly most gratifying work in the world.
