A Heart-Stopping, Page-Turning Thriller,
By
This review is from: An Author's Nightmare (Paperback)
When bestselling author Kate and her friend, Martha, whip out an old Ouija board, neither of them takes it seriously enough to believe that any harm will come as result of playing with it; however, when Martha is tragically murdered shortly thereafter, Kate begins to rethink her seemingly innocuous encounter with the device. To make matters worse, as she starts writing her next book (which just happens to be about a serial killer), Kate begins to experience a series of strange events - not the least of which are her husband's mysterious nightly disappearances...as her life soon descends into the realm of the increasingly dangerous, can Kate save herself from a deadly horror of her own creation...?Cleverly crafted, An Author's Nightmare is a heart-stopping, page-turning thriller. As the mind-numbing suspense of her tale unfolds, author Jennifer Robins leads the reader through the twists and turns of a multi-layered mystery with a host of false starts and stops. Furthermore, in subtle, yet convincing fashion, Robins expounds on the potential dangers that casual jaunts with Ouija boards can often present; many people fail to realize that the spirit world is nothing to play with, and - as Kate discovers - the unsuspecting soul who dares the open doors to the "other side" is hardly prepared to deal with the devastating consequences that result. A gripping suspense thriller, An Author's Nightmare will hold readers at rapt attention until the very end. Josee Morgan Apex Reviews

This review is from: An Author's Nightmare (Paperback)
An Author's Nightmare is one chilling story that will make you grip the pages wanting to find out who the killer is. Is Kate imagining things or are they for real? This is something that kept going around and around in my mind. The author is very talented for teasing this reviewer and her readers will love it. Each killing that occurs is one that will make you wonder why and what part does Kate have in everything. The suspense is definitely there but so is the horror of finding out who the killer is? Not only does Jennifer Robins have a clever mind but also she has such an imaginative mind for creating this suspenseful novel. The Night Owl Romance book reviews, reviewed by Milenda |
