The book's various topics related to vaccinations and pollutants are supported by numerous citations which include peer-reviewed medical studies and government documents. Of profound significance is Oller and Oller's Chapter 4, which documents officials' ongoing coverup of thimerosal's adverse effects, despite a growing body of research to the contrary. Indeed, the Ollers call attention to two "streams" of information, one created by researchers and spokespersons affiliated with producing, marketing, and injecting vaccines, the other generated by researchers untainted by such affiliations. In other words, the authors dare compare the medical industry's fictional "science" with independent researchers' findings contrary to decreed orthodoxy. The chicanery and skullduggery of the CDC, IOM, and the journal "Pediatrics" are excellently delineated. Given what is known about thimerosal's adverse effects in children (eg, Verstraeten et al 1999, CDC, unpublished), effects which are augmented by co-injection with the MMR (Chen et al 1997 PMID: 9164767), the marketing of antipsychotics to children seems an anticipated ramification of toxic vaccine ingredients and vaccination policies.

If used in schools, the Oller and Oller text will get instructors into trouble with administrators. Regardless, the text is an incredibly useful source of important information supported by citations, is well worth the price, and makes a invaluably functional companion to autism books by Olmsted and Blaxill, Wakefield, Kirby, and R. Lathe.

It's a privilege to know both of these incredible experts. This is one of the best books on autism I've seen. It ranks with The Age of Autism and Evidence of Harm. I wrote this review of their book.

Does injecting mercury into babies cause autism?
Here's what the Ollers wrote:
"As soon as the mercury hypothesis was plainly stated, individuals trained in medicine, toxicology, and many other fields of research began to take a closer look at autism. We count ourselves among those researchers. On the basis of solid research and irrefutable logic, we believe the research discussed here and in subsequent chapters has identified key factors that are causing the autism epidemic. The surprise is that many of the causal factors were hiding in plain sight."

This in direct contrast to the findings of CDC officials who've looked and looked and looked for years, but have never been able to find any evidence.

The book AUTISM is also a source for understanding the concomitant health issues that accompany autism. Oxidative stress, GI dysfunction, mitochrondria disorders and other things are included. This book teaches about how autism impacts the total health of a child.

AUTISM by John and Stephen Oller is the textbook on autism. It leaves nothing out.
