4.0 out of 5 stars Expensive but effective
Yes, these pieces of plastic are overpriced, but they function well. They are tall enough so that if your car is loaded or not, it will still function. They are also long enough so that you can park your car in different positions. For my car I needed to use a different height for the front and rear doors since each door was shaped differently. 1.0 out of 5 stars A real disappointment...
These things are 2 feet long.

You'll need FOUR of them just to cover a typical car in a typical garage, and that means it'll set you back $50+ for a set. You can get garage door weatherstripping which will do much the same job for $15. And it's softer than these things, which feel rigid enough to bend the corners of your doors if you hit them hard enough...

I'm returning these things, pronto.

Yes, these pieces of plastic are overpriced, but they function well. They are tall enough so that if your car is loaded or not, it will still function. They are also long enough so that you can park your car in different positions. For my car I needed to use a different height for the front and rear doors since each door was shaped differently. Also the plastic needs to be hard so that the door will not deflect the material. This may not be a problem if you have a drywall garage, but for those of us with concrete walls a rubber gasket is not enough protection.

Look online and you'll find a set of 4 for $30 plus shipping.

It comes with screws and anchors for drywall (and supposedly concrete). I found it much easier to use the blue concrete screws from my local hardware store. When installing the strips, you will want to park you car in different positions to test where the doors will contact the walls. Also remember to load your car to test the height.

For concrete walls, I highly recommend this solution. Even $50 is much cheaper than a new paint job.

1.0 out of 5 stars Garbage Product, January 28, 2012

These are not as soft as they look. They are hard plastic and they really don't protect the paint on a car door very well considering how rigid this plastic is. What's worse is that just a few days after I installed them, they warped. Now they dont sit flat against the wall. Overall this is a complete waste of money. Adhesive backed 1/4" thick cork is probably a better option.

It supposed to protect your vehicle but the material it very hard with very little give, and it's not very long requiring you to order several of them. Might be okay to protect your drywall but I believe it's to hard to protect your vehicle door.

Well made and easy to install / Only issue is not long enough to cover front and back doors of a car etc. - So make sure you measure your needs well - I was able to get by with only two but could see where someone might need to buy three units.

I agree with the other reviewers that the length is lacking on these. I ended up buying six of these to cover my base (and walls) in my garage. You do the math. I have a 38 foot long garage so I don't always end up parking in the exact same spot everytime. I also pull my truck more forward if I'm working on it. So I had to get six of them to cover both sides of the garage.

I also think there should be holes on the bottom of the bumpers to make them more secure.

These should be about half the price that they are. If they were, I'd probably get more. Other than that they work well and have reduced the damage to my doors and walls significantly.

Good protection for the garage wall and the car's doors too. Better than those ugly bumpers that attach to the car door

This "wall guard" is hard plastic and can not be trimed to a different size. It is actually harder that the dry wall in my garage that I was trying to protect the car door from. do not mistake this design for the desireable soft pads that others sell. you will not be happy with this and the shipping charge to send it back is almost the same amount of money would get back if you returned it - isn't that an interesting coincidence!!! This is not the product you want!
