4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not perfect
We bought two of these roughly three years ago. They hold a lot of melted snow, that can be sucked up with a wet vac, and are a great way to keep the garage floor (and items on the floor!) dry through the winter. However, the plastic edge at the front (where we drive on to the mat) cracked on both this year. I don't know if the cracks happened because the plastic weekend...

2.0 out of 5 stars flimsy and overpriced
If you're looking for a way to contain slush and water in a real winter, save your money. The raised edge is barely 1/2 inch; the snap-on edge pieces have sharp ends that soon cause tears in the flimsy 20 mil tarp at the points between the sections. Water that gets past the edge is pulled under the mat; try to fold it back to vacuum up that water, and it cracks...

For the price, I'd hoped for something much better.

3.0 out of 5 stars GARAGE FLOOR MATS, November 22, 2009
By
They are ok, but they slip and wrinkle too much. They need a sturdier frame and thicker material.

The people were very nice when we called for double edge tape to hold the mats in place, but then the tape could have been included in the first place. However, we are glad we got them. A mixed review.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad Idea, May 12, 2010
Have had these a couple of years, and they are going in the trash. All the side segments have broken, as well as the heavier ones on the ends. They don't stay in place, and are really a mess.

2.0 out of 5 stars floor mat, October 12, 2009
The raised edges started to break up from driving on to the mat, and tears in the vinyl developed after about 2 years. I was dissappointed in the durdability of it. Would not get another unless the problems have been fixed.

However, the plastic edge at the front (where we drive on to the mat) cracked on both this year. I don't know if the cracks happened because the plastic weekend after three years of use, or because we changed vehicles - up until this year, we had a Passat on one and a Corolla on the other, we moved the Passat to the side that was holding the Corolla and started using a V6 RAV4 on the side that was using the Passat. My guess is that it was from age, so we're ordering two more mats. There's a year warranty, so we have a year to find out if it was simply weight.

2.0 out of 5 stars Save your money., November 28, 2011

It got us through the winter, which is what I intended for it to do until
it warmed up enough that I could do the necessary work to get the garage
to drain into a sump. But, by spring it was pretty much junk. Sand from
winter street sanding and other things the car tracks in on the tires made
little holes all over in the plastic film. It was stained and ugly and doesn't
come clean no matter how much you scrub with soap and water. It left early
in the Spring... on the garbage truck.

5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps garage nice and clean!, October 4, 2010

These mats are great to hold in water, snow, dirt, etc. I bought my first one five years ago. The salt and mag-chloride used in Colorado during the winter do take a toll on the mats, but they held up very well for over five years!

The mat itself is nice and strong. But to put the edges on is a night mare. The last one we owned was much better

3.0 out of 5 stars Garage floor, June 27, 2010

I have painted my garage floor with epoxy paint, but in the past year some has come off with the hot tires. This mat is perfect to protect the paint and makes clean up of the floor very easy. I thought it would be thicker but otherwise no problem.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product! Great idea for garage floor protection, December 27, 2004
By
This product catches oil drippings, water, salty road grime, etc. Every car will drip eventually. This product just keeps everything from absorbing into the floor. If I decide to paint the floor with some protective coating, I can. I cannot afford it now, but when the time comes, the oil and garbage from the road will not create a problem later.

Oil in the concrete floor is hard and next to impossible to remove. Ever try to paint a sealant on a floor with oil in it! It will create quite a problem to remove oil in the future. A few dollars now and I essentially have a warantee against later failure.

Even after protecting the floor, I can continue using this mat for future protection. What a great idea and at a very fair price.
